General Hospital spoilers squeal Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has just leveled up in her relationship with her son, Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza). Dante Falconeri Dominic Zamprogna), on the other hand, just made things worse by losing his temper at Gio and setting them back months in relationship building.
Could Brook LYnn be the glue that brings these two back together, or might it be too little too late for Dante to build any kind of relationship with his other son? Rumor has it Brook Lynn is going to step in in a major way to advocate for Gio, even if it costs her her near-lifelong friendship with Dante.
Mother and Son Unite
The fan base rejoiced last week when Gio and Brook Lynn came full circle and decided they would move forward as mother and son. Following Dante’s painful chastising of Gio for not protecting his little brother Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), Brook Lynn sought to smooth things over with a chat.
Offering sage advice — the kind we’ve heard Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) give her for years as she bumbled through her own life — Brook Lynn showed us how far she’s come.
In that moment, her words were everything Gio needed to hear, and his response — calling her mom — was the same for her.
GH Spoilers Note Dante Digs the Hole Deeper
Dante sure does get his temper honest, doesn’t he? He may have grown up with more influence from Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and the people on the block in Bensonhurst, but Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) comes out in his personality every now and then to remind us who his father is.
These days, Sonny might be more tame, but it took decades for him to get there. Dante’s fierce attitude makes us think the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, especially given that nothing irks him more than his family being put at risk.
But pitting family against family isn’t the wisest way to manage this snafu. How long will it be before Dante realizes that?
A Family Feud
Brook Lynn meant what she said. She thinks Dante was wrong to lash out at Gio the way she did, and she’ll have no problem telling him so.
Are you eagerly waiting for that moment as much as I am? I’m picturing an all-out brawl in the Quartermaine living room, perhaps one that welcomes Gio back into the fold and the family home — a move that could push Dante to grab Rocco and move out.
Will Brook Lynn lay it all out for Dante and draw a line in the sand in their relationship as she makes a bold move to protect their son in the absence of Dante’s support?
How is Dante going to react to feeling like he has been sidelined by the other half of this parenting unit? Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoiler to find out.
