General Hospital Spoilers: Cameron Mathison Has Reported To Work At GH

General Hospital spoilers indicate that All My Children alum, Cameron Mathison has checked into General Hospital. Mathison announced on Soap Opera Digest’s podcast, Dishing with Digest that he has reported to work at General Hospital.  Mathison says he is proud to have put his Port Charles stamp on his passport. Mathison is thrilled to be back working on daytime tv after 10 years away.

General Hospital Spoilers – Mathison Played Ryan Lavery For Years

General Hospital’s Mathison played Ryan Lavery for years on All My Children. Since Ryan had a connection to Port Charles already, Mathison could bring Ryan to General Hospital. Ryan was originally a con man and could very easily be a part of the Novak Family.  After all, his cousin Duke Lavery (ex- Ian Buchanan) worked for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) years ago. This could be a part of why the character is being kept top secret. Several AMC and One Life to Live characters have been on GH so this would not be unheard of. Mathison does say that he is having a good time working on the GH set.

GH Spoilers – The Hallmark Years

General Hospital’s Mathison has been a host and star on Hallmark for several years now. Mathison’s movie Sweet Revenge: The Hannah Swensen Mystery, comes out this week. Mathison admits that daytime has a special place in his heart and he loves and missing working in the genre. Mathison chose to reach out to GH when he learned that his Home and Family series filming time is being downsized to two days a week. Mathison was not thrilled with working two days a week and being off three. Mathison admits that he has always wanted to be on General Hospital which prompted him to reach out to Frank Valentini about a job there. Mathison says he worked with Frank years ago and that past experience was another thing that drew him to the job.

General Hospital Spoilers – Cameron Mathison Admits To Being Nervous

General Hospital’s Mathison admits to being nervous when he came to work at General Hospital.  However, Mathison says he is nervous on the first day of any new job. Mathison says his anxiety usually goes away once he starts working and realizes this is just another job and nothing to be anxious about. However, fans certainly wonder who Mathison will be playing and what his connection to Port Charles is. Mathison admits he just wants to do what he can for the good of the show.

When Mathison will appear is yet to be announced as well as his character. Perhaps executives just want to keep his character a surprise a while longer.
