General Hospital Spoilers: Can Anna Devane Save Peter?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is slowly waking up to the nightmare that her “son” Peter August (Wes Ramsey) really is! General Hospital viewers want to know if she will be able to stop him before Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) completes his mission, which if successful, will take out both Anna and Peter!

General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August Has Been Lying!

General Hospital viewers will recall from a recent episode that as Anna and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) were discussing Anna’s “deep dig” into Dante’s time at the WSB, Anna mentioned Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) hearing Peter’s voice. Anna had started the investigation after a request from Valentin, who had noticed something off with Dante while discussing playtime arrangements for Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

Valentin had clicked his pen and Dante looked like he traveled off somewhere mentally, and that raised a red flag for Valentin. He wanted to make sure Dante was healed enough from his brainwashing and post-traumatic stress disorder to be safe around Charlotte. Anna’s WSB security clearance was no longer high enough to get all the information that she wanted, although she did discover, with Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) help, that Dr. Warren Kirk (Jameson Jones) had treated both Dante and Franco, and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) who he had gotten transferred out of Steinmauer Prison!

Her whereabouts was classified. The more Anna and Valentin talked, the more the truth became apparent; if Kirk thought Peter’s voice in Franco’s head was coming from Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) implanted memories, then it meant that Peter knew Drew when he was in the military, and that Peter had been lying! Valentin said it first – and Anna didn’t want to think about it. Valentin didn’t either – he was not happy realizing Peter, who he had known since birth and had looked out for and mentored as if he were his own son, was lying to him as well as to Anna! Peter had never mentioned having known Drew Cain before they both arrived in Port Charles!

GH Spoilers –Anna Devane Wanted Valentin Cassadine To Prove That What She Was Thinking Was Wrong

Anna was slowly realizing that it was Peter who really committed the crimes that he had framed Liesl Obrecht for, and possibly even more. She talked about Peter being involved in the disappearance of Drew Cain and the attempted murder of Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery).

General Hospital recaps show Valentin knew that Peter had been involved, but perhaps Peter was more directly involved in Drew’s kidnapping out of Afghanistan for the memory mapping project than he ever revealed. Valentin thought back to a conversation he had with a frantic Peter, telling him he had a phone call with Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) voice, telling him she was going to expose him for kidnapping Drew!

At the time, Valentin thought of whoever had really made the call having threatened Peter with implicating him in something he hadn’t done – but now he realizes Peter was much more involved than he ever admitted! Anna, too, is slowly realizing it and doesn’t want to accept it!

GH spoilers tease Valentin has done a lot of bad things himself, not so much since he has come to Port Charles as when he was a mercenary in Europe, but at least since he was involved with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and became a father to Charlotte before that, the bad things he has done have not been for bad reasons for the most part.

That’s a lot different than Peter, who he is realizing does bad things to cover up other bad things! But the one thing that neither Valentin nor Anna knows yet is that Dante has been programmed to kill both Peter and Anna, at the direction of Obrecht! Will Anna be able to stop Peter in his tracks before Dante takes out both of them, or will Valentin figure it out?
