General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Drops Drew For Jason — And Drew Is Done Playing Mr. Nice Guy!

General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) can’t imagine how she would have made it through the last year without Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Her trip to Jacksonville last year was brutal, and he showed up like a knight in shining armor to help her bear the brunt of her heartache. Losing her marriage and then her business came as quite a blow, but her mother’s death takes the cake.

Through it all — except for that sting in prison, of course — Drew has been by her side. But that’s going to change when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) comes back to town and Carly can’t help but fall for him all over again.

Fans of Carly and Jason’s longstanding friendship-turned-lovers-turned-friends-turned-husband and wife are on pins and needles waiting for Jason to come back to Port Charles.

The last time he and Carly were about to cross the line and consummate their marriage, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) blew the whole thing up as he walked back into his life almost a year after having left everyone to believe he was dead. But Sonny isn’t the one tying Carly down these days.

For once, Carly isn’t beholden to Sonny anymore. In the past, although they’ve gone through their ups and downs — and multiple divorces — they were always somewhat bound to one another.

It was as though there was an unwritten and unspoken law that Carly still belonged to Sonny even when they weren’t together.

It was certainly a part of Sonny and Jason’s bro code. But rumor has it things are going to be different when Jason returns this time, and Sonny may have to accept where things were really at between his best friend and his then-wife when he came home from Nixon Falls. Will he give them his blessing?

General Hospital Spoilers — The New Drew Cain Rears His Head

Sonny might be able to find it in his heart to permit Jason and Carly being together, but that doesn’t mean everyone will be on board with it.

Making room in her heart for Jason in that way would require that she toss Drew out of it.

Of course, he may be making his own bed in that department right now. As Drew’s behavior continues to shift in a direction that Carly isn’t cool with, this pair may find themselves on the outs before Jason ever gets back to town.

Either way, it’s not likely that Drew is going to approve of his twin brother picking up where he left off with the woman Drew is in love with.
