General Hospital spoilers tease When Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) shared the news that they were going to start looking for Willow’s birth parents, their family was very supportive of their venture. Everyone except Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), that is.

However, General Hospital spoilers tease Carly quickly realizes the way to prevent Willow from discovering Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is her birth mother — and vice versa — isn’t to distance herself, but to do just the opposite. Will her sudden flip-flop from being in opposition to the entire thing, to being on board with helping look as strange as it sounds?

When Carly starts to balk at Willow’s plan to find her birth parents, Michael will grow suspicious right away and demand answers as to why Carly is trying to push Willow in the other direction. There won’t be any way for Carly to explain it without divulging the truth, and it’ll feel like she’s on an island with her opinion that Willow doesn’t need to know her birth parents. So, she’s going to wisen up quickly and realize the best path forward to going with the grain.

Carly isn’t kidding herself. Obstinance and not offering her help isn’t going to stop Willow from looking for where she came from. She knows Michael and Willow have plenty of resources at their disposal to get this job done. One call to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) could spell the end of Carly’s plan to keep Nina and Willow apart within a matter of weeks. If she wants any shot at preventing her family from merging with Nina once again, she’s going to have to play this much smarter than having a tantrum or withdrawing because she didn’t get her way.

The only way Carly is going to keep the wedge between Nina and Willow firmly in place is if she joins them in the search for Willow’s birth parents. Things could get a little murky because Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has also said he would help them. Will Carly and Drew head to Colorado to get answers for Willow? We hope not! Fans have had enough of these two and their romantic interludes on vacation. However, it could be the only way they get any face time as a couple while they’re skirting the SEC and Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) threats.

Nonetheless, if Carly is in control of any aspect of the search for Willow’s birth mother, we can rest assured she will do what she has to in order to keep it moving in any direction away from Nina. Unfortunately, Carly could probably come clean right now and still mend any fences she breaks in doing so, but if she purposely diverts the plan to connect Willow with her birth parents when Willow’s life is on the line and betting on them being a bone marrow match, Carly risks losing Michael, Willow, and Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) just as harshly as Nina has.
