General Hospital spoilers tease Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is in lock-up at Pentonville for the next three years, and it’s going to make quite a mark on his relationship with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Right now, Carly is brokenhearted and missing her beau. Sure, there’s visitation, but that’s not the same. While she is grieving for Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) and the rest of the Quartermaine family, she can’t help but wonder what impact this will have on her relationship with Drew.
After all, they haven’t been together that long, relatively speaking. Still, Carly is committed to seeing this through. How can she do anything but that when this man just went to prison in her place? Guilt is going to eat Carly alive while Drew is away and she starts to realize how her heart is growing fonder of someone else.
General Hospital Spoilers — Drew and Carly Say Their Goodbyes
It was a tearful goodbye when Carly and Drew parted ways. She’s not interested in pretending this is the end of anything. It’s just a hiatus, a reprieve that will only make them stronger in the end, right?
As Drew said, they have the rest of their lives together. It’s just three years. It’s just 36 car payments. Meanwhile, Carly will be left wondering if she’ll have two nickels to rub together by the time the SEC is done with her. Who can help with that if not Drew?
GH Spoilers Suggest Sonny is Waiting in the Wings
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may not be on Carly‘s mind right now, but she is on his, despite his plans to marry Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Many fans insist Sonny and Carly have never truly gotten over one another. There is a reason Nina always feels threatened by Carly — because she actually is a threat to her relationship with Sonny.
Carly will have to go through the motions after Drew is gone, learning how to move on, patching her broken heart back together, and figuring out how to pay the federal government $5 million in fines. This may be just the kind of thing that Sonny will find a way to help her out with. After all, he loves playing the hero -– especially to his ex-wife.
General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Stands to Lose Everything and Can Only Blame Herself
This is going to blow up in Nina’s face and she will only have herself to blame. Although she never intended for any of this to happen, Drew is now locked up for three years and Carly is free to live her life, albeit a financially strained one.
Sonny is bound to come to Carly’s rescue in every way that he can, and Nina is going to feel left out to pasture when he does. If an inevitable CarSon reunion is handing over Nina’s head, she could panic and resort to more desperate measures to get rid of his ex.
