Peyton Honeycutt,(Linda Purl) the mother of her teenage friend Charlotte “Carly” Roberts aka Reese Marshall (Kari Wührer) decides to make trouble.

General Hospital Spoilers – A Mother’s Revenge

According to General Hospital spoilers, Carly realized who Peyton was pretty quickly when she knew her by her real name Caroline Benson. She’d had no idea back when her best friend Charlotte Roberts who went by the nickname Carly and she hung out that her mother was such poison. Carly hadn’t seduced Peyton’s first husband Dan Roberts (Christopher Halsted), she had only been sixteen years old; it was statutory rape.

It was only when Charlotte, then known as FBI agent Reese Marshall tracked Carly down in Port Charles that she found out her friend had even survived. Now it seems that her mother is bent on avenging Reese, who died in a train wreck for Carly’s teenage “seduction” of her father.

GH Spoilers – Reese Marshall’s Revenge

In 2005, Charlotte Roberts showed up in Port Charles, now a FBI agent named Reese Marshall and accused Carly Corinthos of destroying her family. She revealed that the car accident they had during an argument as teenagers was because Reese walked in on her father and Carly in bed together. Reese’s mother, Peyton had filed for divorce from Dan Roberts immediately. It had been Reese who accused Carly of shameless pursuit of her father because she secretly coveted everything that Reese had. Carly defended herself, saying it was Dan who seduced her as a sixteen year old, making it statutory rape.

General Hospital Spoilers – A Lawsuit? Really?

Reese’s pain was too deep, and after Reese’s accident, Peyton had told Dan and everyone else that Reese had been killed when in reality she hadn’t. That resulted in Dan drinking heavily and getting into trouble with the law, and later committed suicide by shooting himself; now Peyton sues Carly years later. Carly receives a civil court summons for identity theft for using Reese’s real name, and for Peyton’s pain and suffering for Reese’s death and Dan’s suicide.

That is Peyton’s only recourse, since murder cannot be proven in either case and the statute of limitations ran out long ago for fraud and slander. Carly is stunned, the amount of the judgment requested will finish wiping her out financially and she’s determined to fight.
