General Hospital Spoilers: Carly’s Cruel Conversation With Britt Shatters Her

General Hospital spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) talks to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) about her and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) decision to get married, and how they had previously decided it should be the real thing when they thought Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was dead. In this week’s General Hospital Sneak Peek, Carly tells Britt that now that Sonny is back, Carly and Jason want things to go back to the way they were before, but Britt isn’t sure she’s ready for that.

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Talks To Britt Westbourne In The Metro Court Restaurant

General Hospital viewers will recall from Friday’s episode of General Hospital, that Britt Westbourne was at a table in the Metro Court Restaurant when Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) came by to talk. He and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) had just lost their room because his father, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) had cut off Spencer’s bank cards. He was trying to get Britt to pay for one more night until he and Esme could figure things out when Carly interrupted, telling him no, and that he needed to learn to stand on his own two feet!

Spencer left, and Britt had told Carly she wasn’t going to bail him out anyway and agreed he needed to learn some hard life lessons. The subject changes, and Carly tells Britt about the current status – or perhaps that should be “non status” of her and Jason’s marriage. Britt asks her if Carly and Jason don’t love each other? Carly answers, she says of course they love each other, but the marriage was a business situation. General Hospital viewers will recall that she and Jason married to present a united front to the Five Familes in Sonny’s absence.

GH Spoilers – Carly Corinthos And Britt Westbourne Continue To Talk

The tension builds between the two women as Britt, who General Hospital viewers know was falling in love with Jason and it was mutual, asks Carly if she thinks she’s stupid! Carly says no. Britt continues, going over the situation with Carly. General Hospital viewers know that Britt and Jason had been on the run together after he rescued her from Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) goons. Britt tells Carly that Jason was on the run, and Carly went to some business meeting because she had to fill in for him, and then Jason returned and saved Carly’s life. Britt refreshes Carly’s memory, reminding her that she was there in the room taking a bullet out of his side. This was in the safe house, and General Hospital viewers will recall Carly donated her blood to Jason and Britt performed a makeshift transfusion. Britt, sarcastically, tells Carly of course the marriage was about the business!

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Tells Britt Westbourne What Happened Afterwards

Carly interrupts a sarcastic Britt and tells her that afterwards it became about more. She verifies to Britt how Jason and she thought Sonny was dead, obviously, as everyone in Port Charles had for around nine months. General Hospital viewers will recall that Sonny had amnesia and became the amnesiac “Mike” in Nixon Falls, Pennsylvania after a state trooper found him nearly frozen to death in a snowbank. Jason and the police, and even the feds had searched for Sonny to no avail after he and Julian Jerome, (William DeVry) who didn’t survive, fell through a footbridge after fighting on it into the icy river below.

Carly continues, telling Britt that after they decided to get married as a business decision, that they wanted it to be real – Britt shakes her head, closes her eyes, and questions, “Real?” Carly continues, telling her they wanted to be a real husband and wife with all the bells and whistles, putting it delicately. Carly also tells Britt they were happy. General Hospital viewers know that’s not sitting well with Britt, who got her heart broken by Jason!

General Hospital Spoilers – Britt Westbourne Isn’t Having Any Of It

General Hospital viewers cannot blame Britt for her responses to Carly’s speech, she’s not having any of it! She takes a deep breath, gets up and starts walking away from Carly as she tells her she knows that what she’s going to say will sound snarky, but she actually means it. Then she turns around and sits back down and faces Carly. General Hospital viewers can imagine what Britt really wants to tell Carly as she tells her it must have been hard when Sonny came home!

Carly sits back down, smiles at Britt and tells her “but, he IS home” and tells her that’s all that matters now. Carly tells Britt that she and Jason are still processing it all, but that they both know what they want. Britt, not wanting to hear any more but trying desperately to be polite, closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, and asks Carly what that is! Carly tells Britt that she and Jason want things to go back to the way they were – Britt scoffs, and tells Carly if any part of that going back is trying to make things okay between herself and Jason, it’s not going to happen!
