In the preview, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is seen hurrying down the steps of Carly’s house, stating that he’s on his way to Wyndemere.

It appears he has just overheard a conversation that demands immediate action; could Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) accidentally reveal something to Carly?

Perhaps Valentin picks up on a discussion Brennan is having in another room while he’s on the phone? Is this related to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) or someone else entirely?

Regardless, Valentin’s tone in the promo sounds urgent, which could imply one of two scenarios: either Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) is in danger, or Anna is in need of rescue.

Carly Stops Valentin, And Tells Him She’ll Go Instead And Find Out What’s Going On

Regardless, as Valentin announces his trip to Wyndemere, Carly interrupts him, insisting that he isn’t going anywhere; instead, she’s off to Spoon Island to investigate what’s happening.

As Carly makes this declaration, a scene unfolds showing her arrival at the spooky mansion. Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) stands at the door, visibly surprised to find Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) ex-wife smiling at him.

Carly approaches every perilous situation with a fearless, can-do spirit, often diving into challenges that are far beyond her scope-her journey to Wyndemere to extract information from Sidwell is no different.

Although it’s unclear what specific intel Carly is after, Sidwell is not someone who can be easily manipulated.

If Sidwell Suspects Carly’s Aware Of the Secret Lab, He’ll Do Something Drastic

If he even suspects that Carly has any inkling of the research he’s conducting in the catacombs, he will take drastic steps to ensure her silence.

The fact that Carly is Sonny’s ex-wife complicates matters further; Sidwell is aware that, despite their divorce, she remains very close to the mob boss- not to mention Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Could Carly find herself as the next hostage that Sidwell imprisons in the tunnels?

A lot can transpire in five days, and Sidwell might see the chance to hold Carly captive as a means to leverage against Sonny and potentially Jason as well.

If Sidwell learns about Jason and Dr. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) secret meetings during the blizzard, he could use Carly as a pawn against Jason.

Sidwell Can Also Use This To Show Britt That Carly’s Always Jason’s Priority

This could also serve as a means for Sidwell to demonstrate to Britt that Carly is always prioritized in Jason’s life, which complicates her relationship with the henchman.

After all, the day following the storm, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) remarked to Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) about Britt making the ‘walk of shame’ back to her room at Bobbie’s.

Sidwell and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) are aware of the closeness between Jason and Britt, so it only takes Marco to inform Sidwell “at the right moment.” This means Carly might find herself in quite a predicament.
