General Hospital Spoilers: Carly’s Scheme Falls Apart — Will Drew Or Sonny Save Her?

General Hospital spoilers tease Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has been lying to everyone she loves for months. When Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) confessed on her deathbed that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth mother, Carly was floored. Part of her didn’t want to believe it; part of her couldn’t believe it. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) convinced her to do a covert DNA test, and it proved Nina is Willow’s mom. Still, Carly chose to tell Drew the test proved they weren’t a match.

She never could have imagined it would end up leading Drew on a wild goose chase looking for a birth mother Carly doesn’t want him to find, but she also never thought Willow would end up with cancer and in need of life-saving treatment that a biological relative would be best to provide. When she finds out the truth and needs to dig her way out of the hole she’s in, everyone will be shocked to see who stands by her.

Carly has already had a couple of close calls with Drew since he began to dig into Willow’s past on the commune with her mother. When Denise Makenzie (Alice Rietveld) came calling, Drew was sure she would be the missing link that pulled everything together for Willow and gave Drew a name to track down her birth parents. However, Carly beat him to the punch and made sure Denise told him nothing but lies. Drew’s sixth sense is telling him something is off about Denise though, and eventually, he might catch her in cahoots with Carly and demand some answers.

When she’s caught red-handed, Carly will come clean with Drew. He is going to be floored that Carly knew the whole time Nina was Willow’s birth mother and intentionally hid it. He will find it challenging to believe Carly had any redeeming reasons to keep the truth to herself, and she isn’t going to want to have Drew’s guilt trip on her conscience despite knowing she deserves it. On the other hand, Drew doesn’t think he can move past this kind of deception and entertain a romance with Carly right now.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Is Always On Her Side

Fortunately for Carly, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is always on her side. She is the mother to his children and he will never turn his back on her in a time of need, even if he doesn’t agree with her. This isn’t going to please Nina, who would naturally expect Sonny to be on her side and wants to vilify Carly when the truth comes out that she kept yet another child from Nina. Sonny just might take the fall altogether and insist Carly tell Michael that Sonny blackmailed her into lying about Nina and Willow’s connection.
