The short film is directed by “General Hospital” production assistant and independent filmmaker, Nate Hapke. “I’m incredibly excited about the team we’ve assembled and the story we’re setting out to tell,” Hapke said.
“It’s an incredibly important one, and I’m honored to be working with this group of powerful and accomplished women to share Poppy’s story,” he added.
GH Spoilers – Problems Faced On Hollywood
The movie takes on the issues faced by several women in Hollywood these days.
“This story would be ripe for the telling at any point in the history of the industry,” Hennesy said. As we all know, so much has happened from the first frame shot decades ago to the fall of Weinstein… things that have been brushed over, hushed up, and taken to the grave,” she added.

Other female cast members include Mackenzie Breeden and Gwen Hillier. Filming starts in June in Los Angeles and is expected to be ready for the 2019 festival circuit.
Hennesy’s Career
Hennesy isn’t just great at acting but is also a well-known author and animal advocate. During her early years in this industry, she made appearances in shows and TV movies like “Dark Justice” and in “Deadly Invasion: The Killer Bee Nightmare.”
Her popularity skyrocketed when she joined the cast of “Dawson’s Creek” in a recurring role. After that, she earned international acclaim when she landed the role of Diane Miller on “General Hospital.” Her impeccable performance earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination.
Her other acting credits include “Cougar Town,” “Revenge,” and “Jessie.” She nabbed her first Daytime Emmy Award for her role on “The Bay.”
Hennesy debuted as an author back in 2011 when she released her novel, “The Secret Life of Damian Spinelli,” which landed the #16 spot on the New Your Times Best Seller list. She’s an animal advocate, who’s known for promoting AZA zoos and aquariums, as well as SeaWorld.
