General Hospital Spoilers: Cates Shoots At Sonny, Jason Saves The Day

General Hospital spoilers tease that FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) has been back in Port Charles for several months now. As viewers know, John once went by the nickname “Jagger” and has quite a history with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). Jagger fell in love with a young woman named Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne).

Sonny somehow enticed Karen into a life of drugs and sex. Karen eventually got out from under Sonny’s control, and she left town with Jagger. Although they did get married, they divorced after Jagger cheated on her.

General Hospital Spoilers – John Cates Blames Sonny Corinthos For Corrupting Karen Wexler

Now going by John, Cates has never forgotten what Sonny did to Karen and he still wants revenge.

Although he was initially in Port Charles to help take down the Pikeman Group, Cates has switched gears and wants to put Sonny in prison for the rest of his life, no matter what it takes.

Cates has teamed with Ava Jerome (Maura West) and has even gone as far as to arrest Sonny’s daughter Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) for attempted murder. That likely won’t succeed so Cates will soon be back to square one.

GH Spoilers – John Cates goes rogue!

As Cates’ frustration grows, he may take the law into his own hands. Perhaps he will get so angry that he will pull his weapon on Sonny, possibly even planning to fire. That’s where Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will most likely step up.

He would easily get between the gun and Sonny or even fire on Cates himself. Cates’ quest for revenge could lead him to becoming as much of a criminal as Sonny. He’s already proven he doesn’t care who gets in his way.

General Hospital Spoilers – Jason Morgan Is Back With Sonny Corinthos

Finally taking care of Cates once and for all will go a long way to repairing the damage between Jason and Sonny. When Jason first returned to town, Sonny’s medication had been tampered with, so he wasn’t thinking clearly.

Instead of welcoming Jason back, Sonny accused him of betrayal and even threatened him. But now that Sonny is back on the correct dosage, he’s slowly been letting Jason back into his life.

But if Jason risks his own well-being to save Sonny from Cates, then hopefully they will finally be as close as they ever were.
