General Hospital Spoilers: Chase Becomes Jealous of Michael Due to Willow’s Obsession with Wiley’s Custody Case?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers seem to suggest that a couple swap could be in GH’s future. Those who have been watching the show over the past few months may agree that it seems Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) seem to be moving closer together emotionally. Apparently, some feel the same can be said for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard)!

Yet why could this happen? Michael seems happy with Sasha right now, and Willow is with Chase. However, could unfolding events drive these current couples apart? The scenarios might play out in the following manner.

GH Spoilers: Harrison Chase Is Protective Of Willow Tait

In recent episodes, we’ve seen Chase become ultra-protective of Willow after she learned to her horror that her real son was dead and that Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson) was actually Michael’s. In fact, Chase has gone so far as to try to speak with Michael (and others) behind Willow’s back due to his concern for her emotional and mental stability. It’s obvious that Chase is crazy about Willow and will do whatever it takes to protect her.

Yet, Willow may not be as attached to Chase as he is to her. She may actually come to resent what she perceives as over-protectiveness. She might come to feel smothered by his attentions.

Besides that, we’ve seen that she feels Michael understands her because he too went through the terrible experience of losing a child. He too went through the ordeal of extreme grief. Now, they have even more common ground in the love they share for Wiley. Moreover, Michael has consistently pushed Willow to remain in Wiley’s life despite the fact that the child is not hers. He’s gone so far as to tell her that it’s not just Wiley who needs her. Michael needs her too!

General Hospital Spoilers: Harrison Chase Fights Jealousy!

All of this is emotional glue. It creates bonds between people that might otherwise never exist. (We also know that Willow comes from a background where she was involved with the Dawn of Day cult. She’s been emotionally pushed, pulled, and manipulated a lot in her life.) She may come to believe as she spends more time around Michael, helping him with his custody case against Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), that what she is feeling is true love. In fact, it’s clear that she is obsessed with helping Michael and defeating Nelle.

However, where does that leave she and Chase?

Although Michael is Chase’s friend, the truth is, the more Willow spends time around Michael the more jealous Chase may become. Likewise, the more time Michael spends with Willow, the more jealous Sasha may become.

In the end, both may have enough and decide to leave.

The kicker is that in recent episodes we’ve seen Sasha and Chase conspire to let each other know what’s going on in their respective love interest’s lives. This weaving of secrets may serve unintentionally to draw these two together just as the circumstances surrounding Wiley may unintentionally draw Michael and Willow together.

In the end, each of these GH characters may withdraw from their current love interests for their own personal reasons. The questions that many fans may find themselves asking are whether these people are actually good for each other and what unintended consequences may they face together?
