General Hospital Spoilers: Chase’s Baby Roadblock, BLQ’s Second Adoption Delay Blows Up Marriage?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) may face a baby roadblock. Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) second adoption delay may blow up her marriage, which is already strained due to plenty of other problems.

Let’s start by talking about some GH 2026 preview spoilers, which suggest Brook Lynn and Chase’s family plan may get postponed once again.

Chase and Brook Lynn are on the verge of a conversation about what the future holds, so Chase may hope it’s time to revisit the topic of adoption.

Brook Lynn was the one who stopped things back when Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) true parentage was first exposed. The last thing Brook Lynn wanted to do was drive Gio even further away.

Gio was already feeling unwanted, so it wouldn’t have been right for Brook Lynn to rush into adopting a baby in that moment. Thankfully, Gio has moved past the hostility and is on much better terms with Brook Lynn these days.

It seems like Gio now understands that Brook Lynn was young and trying to make the best decision she could for her son, so that’s good news.

Of course, Brook Lynn hopes that Gio can eventually help them welcome their little one and play the role of devoted older sibling. Chase may hope that’s possible now, but Brook Lynn may come up with new reasons to delay adding a baby to the mix.

Since Chase got himself suspended over his Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) fixation, that could be an issue. Chase has been so caught up in proving Willow’s innocence that he’s put his job on the line and certainly isn’t giving off stable father vibes.

Chase’s physical fight with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) in the January 21 episode could be another reason for Brook Lynn to press pause on the adoption.

Brook Lynn may blast Chase for spiraling out of control when one of the kids at the Quartermaine mansion could’ve seen him. Is that the kind of scene that Chase would want his own son or daughter to witness?

In other words, Brook Lynn may have her doubts about whether Chase is truly ready to settle down and be a father. Chase and Brook Lynn may have some drama to work through before they can really consider bringing a child into their home via adoption.
