General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) could really be Maggie Fitzgerald (uncast character) and there wasn’t a real nanny by that name at all. When one goes back around twenty years and then compares Heather’s past history with babies she’s given away, Heather herself could have been Esmé Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) nanny.
General Hospital Spoilers – First Baby Adoption, She Becomes His Nanny
Heather’s first son who she had with Jeff Webber (William Moses) was Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) older half-brother Steven Lars Webber (Scott Reeves). She sold him and a couple at General Hospital, a doctor and a nurse adopted him; Dr. Peter Taylor, (Craig Huebing) a psychiatrist, and his wife, Nurse Diana Taylor (Brooke Bundy). It was arranged through Heather’s landlady Edna Hadley (Lesley Woods) in New York City through an illegal private adoption and later Heather wanted him back.
Heather returned to Port Charles and found they’d renamed him “PJ” for Peter Taylor, Jr. She got a job as their nanny but later would be fired, for an unhealthy obsession with him-to make a long story short, Jeff eventually got custody and left town.
GH Spoilers – A Habit Pattern
In 1982-1983, Heather came back to town after being institutionalized for some time and assisted in a baby swap where her cousin Susan Moore’s (Gail Ramsey) twins were separated. Jason Quartermaine (Steve Burton) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) were separated and Drew went to the nurse assisting the birth, Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang).
But Heather had her own baby for sale, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) who became Robert Frank after Betsy bought him. She conceived Franco with Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) during a one night stand after sharing drinks at Kelly’s. Franco and Drew didn’t find out the truth about themselves until many years later, a presumed dead Jason later returning to complete the trio.
General Hospital Spoilers – Is Heather Webber “Maggie Fitzgerald”?
After giving birth to Franco she left town again, and followed Jeff to Colorado trying to be close to him and Steven Lars; that plan was quashed. Once Jeff met Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) they first went to Sarajevo to help in the war effort there, later being stationed with Doctors Without Borders in the Mariana Islands. Around the year 2000 or 2002, she would have been a fugitive going by the name Hazel who lived with the presumed dead Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).
Ryan was a DVX operative for much of the twenty-five years, how he wound up “Richard” in a remote cabin conceiving Esmé with Heather is unknown. But there were missing years where she could have found her daughter, and like with Steven Lars, got a job as her nanny, Maggie Fitzgerald-it all fits!
