General Hospital spoilers and updates pose the question: Will Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) take down Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) when the attack truth comes out?
Drew paid off one of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) associates in Pentonville to frame Sonny, by giving Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) a beating, in which Curtis became collateral damage!
5 Key Takeaways
- Curtis was warned to stay away before the Pentonville attack.
- Drew secretly orchestrated the attack to frame Sonny.
- Curtis currently believes Sonny was responsible.
- The truth could send Curtis after Drew for justice.
- Curtis may use his old PI skills to help expose Drew’s schemes.
Curtis Was Warned To Not Be In His Cell
Curtis was warned to not be in his cell after lunch that day, but he ignored the warning, intervening in Sidwell’s beating.
As of now, because Sully (uncredited) said Sonny was behind it, so Curtis believes it-he gave Sidwell a message “from Sonny”. But Drew paid Vito (Sam Duffy) to make all this happen, plus paid him to leave Port Charles and never look back!
Curtis couldn’t understand why Sidwell didn’t go to the warden to be put in protective custody, but he refused to.
Interestingly enough, he spoke to some people about worrying Sonny would have him attacked-that’s got to make you wonder if he could have been in on it too.
The Warning To Curtis Prior To The Attack Won’t Matter-The Outcome Is What He’ll Go By
The warning to Curtis prior to the attack won’t matter when the truth comes out about Drew ordering the attacks to frame Sonny-and the truth will come out, as it always does, sooner or later.
Curtis didn’t listen to reason when he blamed Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) for the wreck that he and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) were in, and he won’t with this situation either.
Curtis actually swindled Drew out of Aurora Media; it was the company he founded when he and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) were married, before Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) “returned from the dead”.
Curtis didn’t trust Drew when he came to him trying to make amends-not totally, even though he did go on the stand to try and vouch for him in court-with nothing but lies!
Curtis Will Take Drew Down-Not Take Him Out!
Curtis may get his freedom a lot sooner than anyone would have imagined, if the strings Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is pulling work in his favor.
When the truth comes out that Drew was behind the attacks in an attempt to frame Sonny, Curtis will take Drew down-not take him out; he’ll seek prosecution for his injuries, to start.
But Curtis might go further than that, and go back to his old private investigator and detective skills-who knows what he might find?
One thing is for certain-as long as Drew continues in his smug complacency, thinking all his plots are foolproof, when he is taken down, he’s going to fall far and hard! And if Curtis has anything to say about it, Drew will never see the light of day again!
