General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Is A Changed Man — Headed For Parole?

General Hospital spoilers reveals Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) first arrived on the scene in Port Charles as competition for mob master Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). As his character’s life began to spiral out of control, it also spidered out into the lives of others’. He soon became known as not just a criminal with an empire, but a half-brother to the Mayor of Port Charles, Laura Collins (Genie Francis). Cyrus’ behavior was far beneath that which his sister considers worthy of her love and respect, and she iced him out of her life when he went to prison.

But the few visits she’s made to Pentonville to meet with Cyrus have thrown her for a loop as Cyrus continues to insist he has found Christ and changed his ways. Laura still isn’t sure she can believe Cyrus, and even if he has changed, she’s uncertain as to whether she can forgive him or give him another chance at being in her life.

General Hospital Spoilers — Laura Collins Is Exhausted

Laura and Kevin Collins (Jon LIndstrom) have really been through it with their family these last few years. His psychopathic twin brother, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) returned to terrorize Port Charles. That brother’s daughter, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), targeted Laura’s grandon, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) — who is now serving time in Pentonville with Cyrus. Laura’s son, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is on the brink of divorce from Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) for the third time. To top it all off, Laura has been out of town recently caring for her mother, whose home burned down. To say Laura is exhausted by the torment and misfortune her family has faced recently is an understatement. Alas, she just may not be ready to open her arms to Cyrus again — changed or not.

GH Spoilers – Tease Cyrus Renault Really Has Changed

Jeff Kober recently opened up to Soap Opera Digest about changes that lie ahead for his role. Cyrus really is a changed man, and his intentions with his family are to repair the breaks in its foundation he left behind.

That may start with Spencer. While his grand-nephew is locked up in Pentonville with him, he might make use of that face time to score a few points. But he’s probably not doing it for selfish reasons or as a part of some sinister scheme. Rather, Cyrus may want to make sure Spencer stays safe, but he might also desire to impart some wisdom that may help to ensure Spencer never comes back to prison again. Could it be that Uncle Cyrus just doesn’t want Spencer to travel down the same path of vengeance and score settling that he did?

General Hospital Spoilers — He’s Coming Back in Big Ways

Kober told Soap Opera Digest he’s looking forward to the development of his character and getting more screen time in the near future. He doesn’t mince words. Cyrus is still angry inside, but he wants to be better, and he’s going to try to do better by his family.

Could the road to redemption be paved with good intentions for Cyrus enough to get him out of Pentonville? Might Laura have a say in whether that happens? Stay tuned for more GH news, updates, and spoilers headed your way.
