General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Moves To Avoid An Image Crisis

GH fans know that Cyrus Renault recently walked free from Pentonville Prison. Of course, Cyrus was transferred to Pentonville from the Pacific North West. There, Cyrus had been a major player in illegal narcotics. However, not that long ago, Cyrus was exonerated of all wrongdoing. Cyrus was a man wrongly convicted after corrupt police officers planted evidence that led to his arrest. Once Cyrus walked free of prison in Port Charles, however, he still wasn’t in the clear.

As GH fans know, there are a myriad of GH characters that still fear Cyrus Renault. Some of these characters include the mayor of Port Charles, Laura Spencer (Genie Francis), the police commissioner, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), and her private detective husband, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), and even Mafioso, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

With all of these powerful people arrayed against him and working to paint him in a negative light, Cyrus knows he needs to move fast to refocus his image and reclaim the narrative of his life.

GH Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Takes Command

GH viewers know that Cyrus agreed recently to an interview with The Invader magazine. Doubtless, this is because Cyrus wants an early jump on ensuring that media mentions of his name across all major platforms including press, social media, news channels, television, and radio … are positive. After all, Cyrus knows that the more positive his image in Port Charles happens to be, the fewer people like Laura Spencer or Jordan Ashford are going to be able to justify allocating city resources to watching him.

Like an evil Bruce Wayne in Gotham City, Cyrus might be able to create a public persona that shines like the sun. While the media and socialites all over Port Charles pay attention to Cyrus the charismatic businessman and investor, very few will be paying attention to Cyrus’s real profit-making endeavors.

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Creates His Own Rules

Should Cyrus be able to blind the Port Charles public with a shock and awe campaign of uber kindness, making generous donations to the very sort of organizations Laura Spencer suggested … such as after school programs to keep kids off the streets, etc. he may, quite literally, be able to get away with murder.

How often have GH viewers seen politicians who appear squeaky clean due to their many and varied charities and work with non-profits suddenly go down in flames when it’s discovered they’re exceedingly corrupt? Not often is the answer to that. The reason GH fans don’t notice is that no one goes digging into what’s going on behind the curtains.

In the same way, some GH viewers are willing to bet that if Sonny or Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) don’t kill Cyrus, then he may emerge as Sonny’s major rival in Port Charles. (An exceedingly charismatic and media-savvy rival at that.)
