It appears that Genie Francis (Laura Collins) is the motivating factor for Kober’s potential return to the set.
In a conversation with People, Jeff Kober expressed nothing but admiration for Francis and shared how much he would relish the opportunity to act alongside her once more. “I love to work and I would do anything with Genie. She’s a great actress and a fantastic scene partner.”

“She’s someone who’ll go anywhere you want to go with them,” Kober remarked. This is why, if the show were to extend an offer for Kober to reprise his role in scenes with Genie Francis, he would be keen to return.

Kober shared his thoughts on a possible return, saying, “If they bring me back and allow me to collaborate with her, I wouldn’t mind making the trip to Prospect Studios.”
Fans of GH will remember that Cyrus met a tragic end after his confrontation with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) took a fatal turn.
Although the character was killed off, this doesn’t eliminate the chance of Cyrus making a comeback. In fact, Kober reprised his role as Cyrus for Laura’s nightmare back in December 2025.

Cyrus Could Return In Dreams Or Hauntings Like Peter August With Anna Devane
Cyrus could easily reappear for another dream sequence, a haunting, or some other imaginative scenario, there are several creative ways to use a deceased Cyrus.
Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is also dead, yet he has been prominently featured in Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) visions recently, as hallucinations possibly linked to brainwashing.
It’s possible that Cyrus could be utilized in a similar manner in the future, appearing to Laura Collins-but then, Cassius Faison’s (Ryan Paevey) death was faked, so they have room for latitude.
As long as Genie Francis is part of the project, Kober seems unconcerned about the specifics of the storyline, he just wants to work with his onscreen half-sister, regardless ths storyline.
Kober has achieved considerable success beyond soap operas, including his work on The Pitt, but it certainly appears he would still be open to a return to the ABC soap, even if on a recurring basis only.
