General Hospital spoilers reveals Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has been making good use of his time in Pentonville. He doesn’t even seem to be all that unhappy. Sure, he wasn’t miserable before, because his connections in the crime world served him well. They protected him behind bars and everyone else was still doing his bidding for him while he served his time, knowing it would eventually come to an end.
This time, the end game for him is salvation, not his release from prison. Indeed, Cyrus really is a changed man, renewed in mind, body, and spirit by Jesus Christ. He’s opened his heart and asked for forgiveness, and he can only hope his family will come to recognize that in time and offer him the same new lease on life that God has. What he doesn’t expect is that his in-road with his siblings will be in the form of a favor — the kind he may not be so inclined to oblige.
General Hospital Spoilers — Marty Needs His Brother
The irony won’t be lost on Cyrus that his brother and sister decided they were done with him because of life in organized crime — and now they’re asking him to use those very connections to help them in a time of need. But the good Christian Cyrus should not boast. Yes, he’s been waiting for the day his family would see value in him again, and he hoped it would be for a better reason, but when his brother — Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) — comes calling to help him find and save Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), Cyrus may find the offer to get on Marty’s good side again too appealing to turn down.
GH Spoilers – Indicate Laura Collins Does, too
If Marty’s plea for help isn’t surprising enough, Cyrus will also be visited by his sister, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis). She will be deeply concerned about the safety of her granddaughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain) — who is caught in the clutches of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy). Will Cyrus bestow grace upon her, and might any part of his former self be lurking under the surface and delighting in the thought of Laura being indebted to him?
General Hospital Spoilers — Cyrus Renault May Experience A Power Trip
Although he’s been proclaiming he is a changed man since his coming clean with Christ, and Cyrus is serious about finding God, he’s also human. Once Cyrus becomes such an important and integral part of his brother’s and sister’s lives again, it’s going to make him feel needed and like he has a purpose again. However, if he gets the feeling that his siblings still don’t necessarily want a close or bonded relationship with him, despite his help, he may not react with the same calmness that he’s been showing them recently.
If Cyrus lets his old ways creep back into focus, will it ruin all the progress he’s made with his brother and sister? Will it ruin the progress he’s made with himself and his spiritual evolution? Will Cyrus come to resent them for asking him to return to his old ways of life — the very part of his that turned them both away?
