Carly And Valentin Have Started Their Own Brennan Investigation To Help Lulu Spencer

Carly and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) have started their own Brennan investigation to help Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) with her libel lawsuit.

Part of Lulu’s article that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is suing her over focuses on Jack, because of his “having a stroke” and “being locked in” in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) house, just like Drew!

But part of the reason for their renewed investigation is also because said article stirred up renewed WSB interest in the case, and the PCPD as well.

Carly finds herself being questioned all over again by Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) about what she heard when she saw Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jack arguing.

She mentions the laundry cart in the garage that day for an unknown reason, but it’s been too long and used too many times for any viable DNA to be there.

Meanwhile, Carly’s renewed questioning and Danny’s possible confession could bring investigators closer to the truth about Brennan’s disappearance.

Carly And Valentin Bring Jason Into The Investigation

Since Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was the one who figured out someone hacked Carly’s work computer to shut off the security system and investigated Brennan’s room, Carly and Valentin loop him in.

They discuss the laundry cart location and that Brennan’s body, if indeed dead, could be hidden either in the hotel or possibly taken out in that cart.

They go over the events of that night and everything that happened before and after Brennan’s disappearance.

Then Carly remembers it was the day that they closed the pool, and all the pool towels would have been gathered to be washed and sanitized for the season.

And that would have been a handy place for someone like Nina and Ava Jerome (Maura West) to find a cart, although Nina would have been familiar with where the laundry and towels were.

As Drew and Ava previously used a laundry cart to move Brennan’s body, Carly’s recollection could prove especially important.

They Decide To Ask Danny About The Pool On The Last Day

Danny had been working as a pool attendant for a couple of years as of summer, and Carly decides to ask him if he saw anything unusual that day, up to when the pool closed.

Of course, Danny and Charlotte had gone for a last swim of the season after closing time, and Charlotte collided with Brennan’s body, which floated up, and her bracelet got caught on his cufflink.

Danny, still pretty fresh from the WSB hauling off his dad, wanted nothing to do with reporting Brennan in the pool, although both he and Charlotte thought he was dead.

As Charlotte’s missing bracelet threatens to expose what happened at the pool, Danny may realize that keeping quiet could only make things worse.

The teens ran, but now that his dad’s back, Danny feels safer to tell the truth and comes clean to Carly.

He tells her about their disturbing discovery, and Carly realizes that Brennan’s body would have had to have been moved later!

I think Danny has kept this secret long enough! He and Charlotte should have told someone what they saw that night, but I can understand why they panicked, especially after everything Danny has been through with the WSB.

What really interests me is Charlotte’s bracelet. If it turns up with Brennan’s body, that could open a whole new can of worms for both teenagers. And once Carly and Jason start putting the pieces together, Drew and Ava may have a lot of explaining to do!
