Considering Dante destroyed all the evidence related to dastardly Director Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) shooting at Pier 55 to protect Rocco, isn’t that just a tad hypocritical?
Do As I Say, Not As I Did
Of course, Lulu doesn’t know that Dante destroyed the evidence and lied to the dastardly double agent director when he came to the PCPD and demanded to take over the case!
But that’s a moot point, since basically with Dante’s demand that she’ll make his son a fugitive over his dead body, it’s a classic case of “Do as I say, not as I did!”
But then, maybe Dante can be given a pass, since his destroying evidence doesn’t affect Rocco as personally as going on the run would, possibly with Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) in tow as well.
But Dante’s not the only one with a little hypocrisy going, considering Lulu broke up with “Not Nathan” West aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) for the same reason!

She basically told him the same thing Dante tells her, that Rocco didn’t need to be away from his family, or even on the run with family!
Poor Rocco Is Hurt By His Parents Fighting Over Him
Poor Rocco is hurt by his parents fighting over him, and that’s why he sought out his surrogate mother Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) for support last week.
Lulu may think the best thing is to have his family around him, but it’s not if all they do is fight over him, it’s really taking a toll!
Dante and Lulu desperately need to learn some communication skills, to have a meeting of their minds-the point of being parents, divorced or not, is to make their son feel safe.

Rocco could be taken on all the trips in the world, but a problem needs solving so Cullum doesn’t target him.
But until the problem of his not being able to forgive himself-in spite of being a hero to Britt and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is solved, Rocco will be miserable.
It May Have Been For The Best That Lulu And Dante Didn’t Raise Rocco Together
It may have been for the best that Lulu and Dante didn’t raise Rocco together-even though no doubt he missed his mother when she was in that eight or so year coma.
It didn’t help that after Dante moved on with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) who in effect became like his stepmother-though they didn’t get a chance to marry-sadly died.
But had Lulu and Dante raised Rocco together, if they’d have fought over every decision affecting him, no doubt he’d be even more of a mess than he is now!
He already blames himself for making his parents fight, and can’t forgive himself for nearly taking a human life (although Cullum’s humanity is debatable!)
Children pick up very quickly on hypocrisy and lose respect for their parents-until they get to the age where they become them, and that’s not good!
