General Hospital Spoilers: Dante Is Officially Off Duty, And Sonny Can’t Help But Blame Himself

General Hospital spoilers spill Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was sidelined from his job as a PCPD police officer when he showed up in Pautauk to reduce Ava Jerome (Maura West) from Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) dirty paws. While Dante might have done the right thing, morally, he had no jurisdiction to tend to a police matter outside of Port Charles.

Unable to work while he is under review, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is going to be hit hard with guilt over the matter. Is there anything he can do to make it right?

Forever the martyr, Dante won’t blame a single bit of this mess on his father, who was off in Puerto Rico getting married at the time.

Sonny is grateful that his son showed up when he did or Ava probably wouldn’t have made it out of that situation alive. Still, he never expected this to be the result of Dante’s do-gooder nature.

Sonny will want to help, but Dante might think it’s best if his pops stays as far away from this legal matter as possible.

These two have always had a bit of an understanding that they can’t cross certain lines due to working on totally opposite sides of the law. Still, it’s going to eat Sonny up inside watching Dante take the fall this way.

GH Spoilers Leak Mac Won’t Be Bought

Sonny isn’t going to wait this out. He feels responsible for what happened. He left town and left Ava in a vulnerable situation that he believes wouldn’t have happened if he was paying closer attention.

Now, the way he sees it, his eldest son is paying for his sloppy work. But negotiating with Acting Police Commissioner Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is hardly going to get Sonny anywhere.

The two don’t exactly see eye to eye. Besides; everyone at the PCPD is already on Dante’s side, but Mac is a stickler for protocol.
