General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kate Mansi (Kristina Corinthos) has been busy on social media and not every GH fan is happy with her comments.

Mansi portrayed Abigail DiMera on Peacock’s Days of our Lives prior to taking over the role of Kristina from Lexi Ainsworth.

Mansi made comments in regard to both GH and DOOL, here’s what to know about why her words got clapback from more than a few daytime fans!

General Hospital spoilers – Kate Mansi Pays Tribute To Drake Hogestyn

Kate Mansi’s first stint on DOOL was from 2011 to 2016 and her second one lasted from 2018 to 2020. News of DOOL icon Drake Hogestyn’s passing last week took fans by surprise.

He passed away at the end of September after battling pancreatic cancer, a situation the fandom was unaware of.

Mansi posted a photo of her and Hogestyn on social media with the comment “Heaven’s not ready for ‘story time’ Drake, they don’t know how good they’re about to have it” along with three baseball emojis.

The reference was to Hogestyn’s playing days in the New York Yankees’ minor league farm club.

GH spoilers – Kate Mansi Plays Kristina Corinthos

Mansi debuted on General Hospital in 2023, taking over the role from Lexi Ainsworth who played Kristina from 2009 until 2023.

Mansi jumped right into front burner storylines with plots about surrogacy, and more recently, murder.

Kristina is one of many who wanted John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) dead. Ultimately her dad Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shot the FBI agent in order to protect Kristina from the berserk lawman.

General Hospital spoilers – Kristina Corintho -Davis Is Not A Murderer

Mansi talked to Michael Fairman TV about Kristina’s recent behavior saying “I think that Kristina will always be someone who is of two worlds, right? She was raised by Sonny Corinthos. He has a moral code and all of those things she tells herself. But I think there’s some big things coming that will also be a really big shift in Kristina’s world that will change her perspective a bit.”

She added “I think when Lexi Ainsworth played the role, the character was also younger, and he had a different type of fatherly relationship with her. I feel like Mo and I can really go toe to toe on things.”

The first thing to know is that some fans were not on board with the change in actresses portraying the legacy character. The second thing to know is that soap fans are legendarily loyal.

GH Spoilers – Mansi’s Social Media Comments

After the interview was published one GH fan tweeted a clip of Kristina, as played by Ainsworth, trading fire with Sonny, with the words “Lexi/K had more fire at 17 than 37.”

Dozens of responses followed, for instance “Lexi can act circles around her,” “I really need her to keep Lexi’s name out of her mouth,” and “She is easily the most unlikable and insufferable cast member on that show and that’s saying something.”

But wait, there’s more: “Yikes! She’s a bit dismissive of Lexi, isn’t she?” and “That’s really insulting to Lexi. Why would she say that?”

Now it’s your turn GH fans, what is your reaction to Kate Mansi’s perspective of Kristina Corinthos then, and now?

Never liked her as ANY of the characters and her disrespect is just awful.

It seems that some might be taking what she said a little too personally. She wasn’t insulting Lexi. As a matter of fact, I personally thought Lexi might have been able to handle the changes in the character. Kate just made the point that her version and Lexi’s were different points in Kristina’s life experience.

Thank you for saying this. I liked Lexi very much and it was her decision to leave GH. The fans have been punishing Kate Mansi ever since. I think that she has brought tremendous depth to the character and has given Emmy worthy performances. I just think she meant that Lexi had a different relationship with Sonny. It was always choosing Sonny no matter what. Now as an adult this new Kristina can see him flaws and all, and it no longer blindly accepting of what he does in the name of love or protection.

They hired kate with all these demands that she made. She talks about her days character like she owns it.i find what she said uncalled for kate is very impressed with her own unimportance.

Sorry don’t think she’s a talented actress. Much preferred Lexi in the role. And please do something with that chin. Thankfully I can fr through her scenes.

  • Gabriela

I don’t think Kate meant to insult anyone, however she is not as good as she thinks she is. Lexi was a very complex character and she played the role superior to Kate and very believable, I’m not watching GH anymore very disappointed with all characters changing, writers and directors/ producers what are you doing??? Wake up people are not watching GH anymore. Besides bringing back Jason, everybody else is irrelevant.

  • Jacque Dawson

Lexi was so pouty. Glad she was replaced. Kate is a much better actress and has really fixed the character.

  • JG

Mansi does make for a very annoying, and useless character in her portrayal. Preferred Lexi. Maybe write her out..write in another window to fall through..or send her to Pentinville for the Jagger murder. Just lose her…keep Kelly Monaco..bump off Mansi.

  • Barry Hadley

I’m really a big fan of Mansi. I enjoyed her on Days of our lives. I wouldn’t watch General Hospital, if she wasn’t on their.

So you’re not a GH fan. If you are only watching for Mansi you are just a Mansi fan so your input on the show is superfluous.

I feel no one was saying anything as insulting anyone.. they both play good . They just have their own unique way about each other and their character which makes it more fun to fun . I like watching thos actress play .. but I also enjoyed Lexi .. two different people two different actresses with their own way of playing.. keep doin good both of u

  • GHFan98

Vastly preferred Lexi in this role and wish she’d be rehired if the show is so determined to make Kristina a front runner. I don’t think Kate’s comments were meant to be hurtful, though.

Kate is great, but I still miss Lexi ainsworth!

  • Jeff

Honestly? There was nothing wrong with what she said at all, I think some people just get themselves too wound up at the slightest thing. All she said was when Lexi portrayed the character she was younger (which she was, duh.). And as a long time viewer, I can tell you that my opinion, even though Lexi is a great actress, Kate is a little more fiery and feisty than she was, and probably more able to go head to head with Sonny. I think some people get too wrapped up “so-so was here first therefore they are the best“. I personally don’t think either actress is better in the role than the other one, they are both good at what they do and the roles are slightly different with each of the different actresses’ portrayals of the character.

  • Anna

Agree that she is not as good an actress as Lexi. Much preferred Lexi & Maurice’s father/daughter relationship. Mansi is a beautiful girl but thats
about all I can say good about her addition to the show. I wish she would be convicted of Cates murder and sent away. Wish all the Nina haters would start complaint about her then maybe they would put her in the character closet and we wouldn’t have to watch her so much.

  • Laura

Seriously people? You’re getting nasty about something she said about Lexi that wasn’t even remotely critical. I liked Lexi too, but I think Kate is also an amazing actress and fills the character well. Calm down for God’s sake. You “dissers” need to chill.
