Marshall Ashford’s Return

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) made a splashing return during the Tuesday, July 28 episode.

He immediately dropped into see Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) upon arriving from the airport to meet his new grandson, and Isaiah was *awkwardly* there.

While Marshall remained pleasant throughout the entire visit, near the end as he was leaving, Isaiah mentioned how he looked forward to getting to know Desmond’s grandfather.

This is when Marshall made it clear that he was #TeamCurtis and would not befriend Portia’s boyfriend. They can be civil, but he’d never double-cross his son. Was the show foreshadowing something here?

Why Is Marshall Back?

It does feel as if Marshall is back for a bigger storyline. With the ongoing animosity between Isaiah and Curtis, it’s hard not to think that they may have a deeper connection.

Plus, the fact that Marshall has come back, and there was major tension between him and Isaiah.

Could Marshall be Isaiah’s biological father? Not much has been mentioned about Isaiah’s past, parents, or family, so anything is possible, right?

All fans really know about Isaiah is that he has a history (best friend) with Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson). It wouldn’t be far-fetched to think that there is a possibility he doesn’t know who his father is, and with Marshall’s past, it’s absolutely plausible that he could be Isaiah’s dad.

This might also affect Desmond’s paternity. If Curtis and Isaiah are brothers, there’s a good chance that Curtis would be a false positive for Desmond’s paternity tests. So, could there be a plot twist coming soon that Isaiah is actually the baby’s father?
