General Hospital Spoilers: Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures, Ava Turns On Nina

General Hospital spoilers reveal Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) is breathing down Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) neck, and Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) doesn’t seem to be of much help. The verdict is still out on whether Austin is really Ava’s new best friend or her enemy. He could be working with Mason to manipulate Ava all of this time. Regardless, Ava will soon find herself backed into a corner, unable to move forward without forsaking someone that she holds dear.

Ava and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) weren’t always the best of friends, but their shared hatred of Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and desire to see her pay for her mistakes has bonded them in recent years. Still, Ava has been encouraging her friend to come clean with her fiancé, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). The way Ava sees it, the best thing Nina can do is make sure Sonny hears the truth from her. Of course, Nina has resisted that advice, clinging to any hope of keeping the secret that she turned Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in for insider trading. What a shame for Nina that Ava knows this is her weak spot, because she’s about to use it against her.

General Hospital Spoilers — Austin Gatlin Holt Proposes A New Idea — Again

According to GH spoilers, was Austin‘s idea to hide the body where they did. It was Austin who said Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was definitely dead. We’re not sure if he’s not quite the doctor everyone thinks he is, or if he was lying all along. It was also Austin who told Ava there was no bucking Mason’s orders. It has been Austin who has continually put fear into Ava‘s heart about who they’re really up against that lurks behind Mason.

It is also Austin who suggested the best way to get the information they need out of Sonny’s private office is to put an undercover nanny into his home. Now he has a new idea – Ava needs to figure out a way to make Nina help her work Sonny. Sadly, Ava will instantly know that the only way to get Nina to cooperate in convincing Sonny to ax his nanny is to threaten to tell him the truth about what Nina has done. Ouch! Best friends forever, no?

GH Spoilers – Hint Ava Jerome’s Only Alternative Is Telling Sonny Corinthos The Truth…About Nikolas Cassadine

Ava will be heartbroken to do it, but if it comes down to choosing between her daughter, Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) and Nina, Ava isn’t going to risk her child. She’s also not going to risk her freedom. The only alternative she has to holding Nina over a barrel is telling Sonny the truth about what she has done. But Ava isn’t ready to come clean with Sonny about the fact that she killed Nikolas — or at least she thinks she did. Giving Sonny leverage over her would not serve her needs well. While Ava won’t be excited to turn on Nina, blackmail is the only way out of this while keeping her own reputation clean.
