General Hospital spoilers and updates tease doom, gloom and lost hopes this week in Port Charles. Willow Tait (Katelyn McMullen) is running out of time, and devastating things keep happening-it looks like Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may not be able to donate bone marrow?
General Hospital Spoilers: Scary Situations
At GH, Willow is in her hospital bed hooked up to monitors and IVs as she tells a worried Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) she’s scared. Nina has been waiting for her blood work to come back and even though she’s been positive and upbeat that she can save Willow’s life, something could go wrong.
She may not be a donor match, with the bone marrow needing to come from the paternal side – which is impossible, Silas Clay (Michael Easton) having died several years ago.
Both Willow’s twin, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) and her half-sister Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) are deceased as well, no one wanting little Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to donate. If Nina’s not a match, they may need to turn to her Aunt Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) although everyone they know is willing to be tested.
GH Spoilers:Encouragement
Out in the hallway, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) tries to encourage Michael, saying they can’t give up hope – positivity is an asset in these kinds of situations. Sasha has been trying to encourage everyone concerned and being a good friend. Hopefully, Nina will test positive for being able to donate to Willow, but the baby will need to be delivered via cesarean section first since Willow’s body is weakened. Inducing labor would not be a good idea for either the mother or the baby girl she’s carrying.
General Hospital Spoilers: Bad News?
Willow and Michael are back in Willow’s hospital room as Dr. Terry Randolph, (Cassandra James) Willow’s oncologist comes in looking grim. Michael looks up and asks what now, and it looks like Terry might have some bad news. By the end of the week, Willow will have a big decision to make but for now, everyone concerned is worried.
If Nina doesn’t match then the search must continue and Willow’s body is not strong enough to wait for very long. Hopefully, they’ll get the miracle they’ve been praying for.
GH Spoilers: Olivia Quartermaine Counsels Drew Cain
Back at the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) counsels Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) who just broke up with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Drew was blindsided by the lies and excuses Carly made for keeping Willow’s maternity a secret for nearly a year, wasting valuable time. Willow herself didn’t share her secret for the sake of her baby until she went into stage four with her leukemia, but no one wants to blame a victim. In front of the fireplace, Olivia asks Drew what he’s not telling her – he looks upset.
General Hospital Spoilers: Devastation
In the hallway at the hospital, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) sits with Sasha as she breaks down in tears, an unusual occurrence for the usually strong Brook Lynn. She sobs to Sasha that devastating things keep happening, as she’s come to visit Willow along with her father Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). He’s probably visiting now, with undoubtedly only one person allowed in the room at a time.
It’s a sad and scary time for the Quartermaine family as Michael’s fiancée and mother of his child may not pull through short of a last minute Hail Mary. Everyone prays and sends good thoughts.
GH Spoilers: Nina Reeves Cries
Nina is as sad and scared as everyone else is, worrying that she may not be able to save her remaining live daughter and granddaughter. If Willow dies, baby girl Quartermaine dies too, if the caesarian section is not performed right away-that may be Willow’s big decision at the end of the week. It looks like Ava Cassadine (Maura West) gives her a hug, trying to comfort her. The unlikely friends, once romantic rivals, have become very close.
General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Cain Makes Things Clear
At the Spencer house, Carly wheels around startled with an alarmed look on her face – after talking to Olivia, who probably encouraged him to make up, he makes a decision. That may be Drew that she sees who’s startling her, putting a look of alarm on her face since he probably still has an angry look on his. Drew doesn’t like dishonesty and he doesn’t like lies, and Carly’s failed a lot of tests with him.
Even if she failed to reveal Nina was Willow’s birth mother for Willow’s sake, it was wrong. Willow should have been given the information so she could decide for herself what she wanted to do.
GH Spoilers: Nina Reeves Loses It, Willow Tait Cries
On the top of the General Hospital parking deck, Nina loses it in frustration, as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) tries to comfort her. She throws something down on the ground and screams “no!” so this might mean she’s not a donor match for Willow. Nina has a living daughter who is dying, and if she can’t save her who can? Even if Willow doesn’t want a mother-daughter relationship or even a friendship with her, there’s no hope at all if she dies. Back in Willow’s hospital room, she cries on Michael’s shoulder, has she lost hope?
