General Hospital spoilers indicate Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) were ready to work as a team when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) proposed that they keep working vigilantly together to have Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) back. It’s clear that the mob boss has been slipping as of late — maybe he never came back from Nixon Falls as the same old Sonny after all.

Regardless, he’s in trouble now with the Pikeman deal — a result of jumping into bed with a federal defense contractor for the first time that Carly predicted would happen. When Dex runs to Michael with concerns that the Pikemen Group might not be who any of them thought after all, Michael is going to give him the go-ahead to look into things. What Dex finds will shake everyone to their core.

Dex didn’t have a problem accepting extra money from Michael to look out for Sonny – after all, that’s his job anyway. In addition, Dex actually likes looking out for the mob boss. He’s taken to Sonny and has a certain amount of respect for him that he didn’t expect to develop. So when it looks like the guy is about to come under fire and that the Pikeman Group may have been setting him up all along to take the fall for his crimes, Dex isn’t going to hesitate to run to Michael with this worrisome news.

Michael trusts Dex’s instincts are sharp and he’s not going to hesitate to pull the trigger and tell him to find out whatever he can about Pikeman when the young enforcer grows suspicious of them. Whether or not he will come to regret this decision is unknown. But it’s going to present quite the conundrum for Michael when Dex brings this issue to his attention at home, where Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has returned and is as oblivious as ever about what they’re up to. Michael will send Dex on his way to get the job done, but he’ll have to answer to Willow when Dex walks out the door.

General Hospital Spoilers — Tracy Quartermaine Is Pikeman

All of this time, Dex thought that Sonny was getting in bed with a federal defense contractor when he was actually getting in bed with a Quartermaine. As it turns out, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is the real mastermind behind the alleged “Pikeman Group.” The jury is still out on whether or not Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) knew that when he brought the offer to Sonny’s table. If so, Valentin can expect to be in hot water with the mob boss when he gets back from Chechnya. For now, Michael and Dex will have to act quickly to get Sonny out of this mess without revealing to him that they are both involved in protecting him, per Carly’s request. Meanwhile, Michael will have to pretend he has no idea that his Aunt Tracy is working to put his father in prison for the rest of his life.
