General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Is Warming Up To Sonny, But Why?

General Hospital spoilers reveals it’s been a few months since Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) conveniently came to town to fill Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) shoes, but has he? Not even close. Still, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would tell you Dex is growing on him. Dex has proven his loyalty on more than a few occasions, despite Sonny’s nagging gut instinct that keeps telling him there is more to the story. In response, Dex has also taken a liking to Sonny that he never expected to. Michael hasn’t picked up on this yet but it’s only a matter of time before he does.

General Hospital Spoilers — This Was Never the Plan

Dex was supposed to infiltrate Sonny’s organization. The goal was for Sonny to start to trust Dex with secret and critical components of his organization that Dex could then use against Sonny —- or rather, that Michael could use against Sonny. However, the longer Dex works for Sonny, the more the role of being the right hand to such a powerful figure in Port Charles has become appealing to Dex. When things veer off course, who’s going to help Michael pick up the pieces?

GH Spoilers – Indicate Dex Heller Has His Own Agenda

Dex may not merely be in this for the money. As far as we know, he has no ties to Port Charles. He seemed to appear out of thin air when Michael needed him, in fact. So why is he here? A guy like Dex probably could’ve picked up shifts as a bartender or laborer, but he’s going to make more money doing higher level work with higher level people. This is especially true given that he was dishonorably discharged from the military, which would put a crimp in any plan to seek civilian employment.

However, little light has been cast thus far on how committed Dex is to seeing this project through. When Michael was ready to throw in the towel, Dex pushed back and insisted they keep going. He really had to sell his vision of the takedown to Michael to get him to comply with moving forward. What’s in it for Dex?

Rumors are swirling that Dex does actually have a connection to Port Charles, and to Sonny. But what possible connection would this twenty something young man have to the mob king? Knowing Sonny’s track record, history may start to repeat itself. Could it be that Dex is the long lost son of Sonny and Lily Corinthos (Lilly Melgar)?

As Dex grows closer to the inner operations of Sonny’s business, he might start holding back on what he tells Michael. He also might continue to get involved with Michael’s sister, Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks — something Michael insisted needed to come to a screeching halt.
