General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Isn’t Jason’s Son — He’s A.J.’s

General Hospital spoilers claim Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) isn’t just some guy Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired to infiltrate Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard). Little does Michael know, Dex was targeting him the whole time, too, and waiting for the perfect opportunity to get on the inside — of the Quartermaine family. While Michael seemed to have found an unexpected and willing ally in Dex to bring his father down, fans have been quick to speculate as to why Dex would put himself in harm’s way for someone he barely knew.

The latest rumors suggest that there may have been more to this alliance than meets the eye. Despite his dedication and commitment to taking Sonny down, Dex has been tight-lipped about his motivations. Could it be that Dex is actually a Q? The rumor mill is churning, but while many fans have suspected Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) might have been Dex’s father, it’s possible his dear old dad was another Q entirely…A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan).

Dex isn’t just some throwaway character with a one-and-done storyline. We always knew there was more to Dex than just a rambling ex-military man looking for some drama.

Of course, the burning question on everyone’s mind is: who are his parents? Some folks are praying to the soap opera gods that Sonny hasn’t procreated again, while others are all for it. But could it be that Dex is aligned with Jason or A.J. Quartermaine? Both men have their ties to the mob and the Quartermaine family drama, so it’s not a completely implausible theory.

Jason and A.J. both had their fair share of lovers over the years too — and Jason did spend some time away where a love affair with Karen Wexler (Marie Wilson) could have produced a child who would be about Dex’s age today. Still, it’s starting to sound more like A.J. is his long-lost dad.

If Dex is Jason’s son, it stands to reason that he could blame Sonny for taking his father away from him. Heck, he might even blame Sonny for taking his mother away from him, in some respect.

Karen wasn’t nearly the troubled girl she became until she met Sonny and he had her working in his strip club. Ah yes, Sonny’s image may have softened over the years but longtime GH fans remember where he started, too.

If Dex feels like he may not have lost his mother if it weren’t for the path that Sonny put her on, he might be back to avenge her. Thatebing said, he could also feel like he missed out on knowing Jason because Sonny co-opted him as well.

General Hospital Spoilers — It Might Work Even Better For A.J. Quartermaine

We could see A.J.’s jilted son feeling rejected and forgotten if he grew up absent the Quartermaine money and grooming — you know, the kind Michael has been blessed with. If Dex is his brother, it’s reasonable that he would feel he was entitled to the same treatment and didn’t receive it because his father was never in his life.

It makes sense that he would blame Sonny for A.J.’s death, since he shot him and all, Dex could hold him accountable for many of the events leading up to his demise, too.
