General Hospital Spoilers: Dex On The Hot Seat-Dante’s Interrogation

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will be on the hot seat when Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) interrogates him. Dante still thinks that Dex is covering for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) regarding that stint in the meat freezer at Pozzulo’s.

General Hospital Spoilers – Dante Falconeri Seems To Be An Advocate

As Dante interrogates him about that stint in the freezer at Pozzulo’s when Dex was hung from a meat hook, he senses that Dante is advocating for him. But the problem is, he also thinks that Dante will be in the way of what Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired him to do. Dante is a cop, and Dex can’t involve the police in this plot, where Sonny is being set up to partner with illegal military gun smugglers.

Even if Dante is on Dex’s side, he doesn’t need him sticking his nose in Michael’s plans. Dex wants to keep the police at arm’s length where they’re available if he does need them, but right now he doesn’t.

GH Spoilers – Dex Heller Keeps Stonewalling

Dex keeps stonewalling Dante but he can sense he’s torn between enforcing the law and protecting his father by looking the other way in certain situations. Dex is good at reading people, and he senses an internal conflict in Dante when it comes to his father, Sonny but he doesn’t want to turn him in. At some point Dex may need to use that conflict to his advantage, against Dante but so far that time hasn’t yet come, and it would be counterproductive now. Michael is setting up Sonny to be taken down and put in prison for life, not small potatoes like a kidnapping, and there’s potential conflict between the brothers to consider. Dante could be kicked off any case concerning either Michael or Sonny for conflict of interest and that’s a consideration as well.

General Hospital Spoilers – He’ll Never Implicate Sonny Corinthos

At this point, Dex will never implicate Sonny in anything illegal, and especially not to his son Dante – it would be counterproductive at this point. Michael’s whole plan is to embroil Sonny in something so bad that he won’t be able to help but implicate himself, and no one can ever suspect Michael’s behind it. Both Dante and Sonny know that Michael’s been trying to set Sonny up for things for months, but the embargoes of coffee shipments and closing off delivery points is obvious.

Michael’s grand plan has him, Dex, and the military contractors, Pikeman Security Group coming out smelling like a rose. Dex has been playing like a double agent warning Sonny about military contractors and Dante must never know the whole truth about what’s going on.
