General Hospital spoilers indicate that fans saw Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) shoot WSB double-agent, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), in an attempt to save Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) life.
With that said, there’s nothing the ABC soap loves more than a good old plot twist, so was Cassius Faison a.k.a. ‘Fake’ Nathan (Ryan Paevey) behind the trigger? Here’s what we know!
Cassius Faison’s Deception
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Cassius revealed himself during the Tuesday, March 31 episode and into the Wednesday, April 1 show.
Fake Nathan went to visit Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) when it was revealed that he was Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) secret twin, parading around as his dead brother.
Viewers had a sense that Nathan wasn’t really Nathan from the get-go, and after Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) mentioned that her father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), had four kids, audiences deduced that Nathan had an unknown twin.
It was confirmed this week, and while Cassius has seemed like a good guy, he showed his true colors during his chat with Sidwell.
Cassius’s Intentions
Fans are still reeling from the idea that Rocco, who’s never shot a gun before, was able to hit Cullum in the back with ease.
Still, this is a soap opera, where anything can happen, and a teen having such good aim isn’t the most outrageous thing a daytime drama has presented.
With that said, Cassius arrived at the scene of the crime very quickly. He instantly jumped into action to save Rocco, while also throwing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) under the bus – something Jason was willing to do, regardless.
Could Cassius have pulled the trigger on his gun? Rocco has never shot a pistol, so he wouldn’t know if he did shoot or not.
His adrenaline was likely pumping, and when he saw Cullum fall to the ground, Rocco may not have realized he was not responsible. Jason would have no clue, as he was on the ground and everything happened so fast.
The real question here is, if Cassius shot Cullum, did he do so because he had animosity toward the WSB agent, for whatever reason?
It would also explain why “Nathan” was so quick on the scene, and his insistence to ‘save’ Rocco, which seems strange, considering how he’s duped Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), and everyone else in Port Charles!
