General Hospital Spoilers: Did Kristina Really Kill Cates Herself, Sonny Was A Hallucination?

General Hospital spoilers tease that viewers were shocked by Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Bernard) recent actions. FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) had arrested Sonny daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) for the attempted murder of Ava Jerome (Maura West) during a recent altercation.

Ironically, Kristina and her unborn baby were the ones who were injured during their confrontation. In fact, the baby died so Cates added on manslaughter to Kristina’s charges for the death of her own baby.

But Cates didn’t really want Kristina. His hatred for Sonny has been going on for decades. His plan was to make the charges against Kristina go away as long as confessed to all the crimes he’s committed over the years as the head of the criminal Corinthos Organization.

Sonny eventually agreed to meet Cates at the Quartermain boat house where he would turn himself in. Cates was ecstatic that he finally was about to get everything he wanted. But that’s not what happened.

Meanwhile, Kristina was reeling after all the trauma she’s recently experienced. She took off for Sonny’s penthouse where she took one of Sonny’s guns and took off for parts unknown.

Not long after, Sonny and Cates seemingly had their fateful meeting just as a terrible storm began to break. Cates was shocked when Sonny pulled out a gun and after a brief confrontation, Sonny apparently shot Cates twice in the chest, killing him.

General Hospital Spoilers – Did Kristina Corinthos-Davis really kill Cates

But what if that isn’t what really happened? Understandably, Kristina isn’t in her right mind at the moment.

Perhaps it’s she who met Cates at the boathouse and she imagined it was Sonny that pulled the trigger when in fact it was her who killed Cates? It doesn’t really seem like Sonny would just shoot Cates out in the open like that.

This isn’t Sonny’s first rodeo and besides, he seemed ready to confess everything to Cates. He even had told Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to be on standby, apparently to be ready to mount his defense.

Kristina may not even know what she did and could block the whole thing out leaving Sonny to take the blame for a crime he didn’t commit.
