That’s because there’s a rumor suggesting one very prominent actress turned down the opportunity to reprise the role again, but this time in a full-time capacity. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

As many of our loyal readers are aware of, actress Kelly Monaco was unceremoniously let go from General Hospital back in 2024.

And while GH fans are yet to get an explanation as to what might have happened, it seems like all of those details have been kept behind closed doors for now.

That said, it’s being heavily speculated that Lindsay Hartley turned down the role. Apparently, she has no interest in returning to the daytime television world, as she’s moved on to bigger things in her career, including full-time directing.

It’s being reported that Lindsay has been spending a lot of time in Clearwater, Florida while working on her new film, Paranormal Nobodies. The project is currently in pre-production.

Given that Lindsay is now spending a lot of time in Florida, it’s very unlikely that she would be making her way back to California to rejoin the case of General Hospital.

Now, Lindsay herself hasn’t made any comments about the matter, but at the same time, General Hospital fans are hoping that Sam McCall will come back to Port Charles in some form. That is, if she’s even still alive at this point.

Is Sam McCall Ever Coming Back?

But seeing how it’s very unlikely that Kelly Monaco will return to General Hospital, it seems like producers have no other choice but to find other talent for the role at this point.
