General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Christmas is right around the corner. Usually a time a cheer for the Corinthos family, this year looks to be a bit different. After a tense confrontation with Julian Jerome (William DeVry), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) disappeared after the footbridge that he and Julian were on collapsed just as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) arrived. While Jason searches frantically for his friend, his search will likely turn up no sign of the missing mobster.

Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will be waiting back home in Port Charles for Sonny and Jason to return. She will likely be keeping herself busy with Christmas preparations until then. But Jason will return alone. Carly won’t believe that Sonny is gone and may even go search for him herself. But eventually, she’ll return home alone. Carly won’t give up and may go on planning Christmas with the expectation that Sonny will walk through door at any moment. Jason won’t think it’s healthy for Carly to continue on as if nothing is wrong, and eventually Carly will break down.

GH Spoilers – A Gathering Of Friends And Family

As news travels about Sonny’s disappearance, friends and family will gather to support Carly as faces the fact that Sonny might not ever be found. It won’t be the festive gathering that they had planned, but as family members show up one by one, Carly will take solace in their support. Christmas can be a time for miracles, and the Corinthos clan will hope for one even as more time passes. Sonny has a lot of loved ones, not just Carly, so it will be a difficult time for everyone.

Even though Sonny may or may not return in time for Christmas, he most certainly will turn up sooner or later. But by that point, will Carly have finally have accepted his death? It seems most likely that Sonny will turn up in his hometown of Bensonhurst, where at least one former Port Charles resides. And while Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) may be the key to Sonny coming back home, don’t look for it to happen in time for Christmas! Carly and the rest of the family may be waiting for their miracle for awhile longer.
