General Hospital Spoilers – Wiley Gets Too Much Lovin
GH viewers know that Wiley is in for a long life of spoiling and control if Carly Corinthos has anything to say about it. Just think about the fact that Carly tells Michael what to do on a regular basis. Oh, Michael doesn’t just come to mommy in order to get advice. He does that too, but for Michael, “mommy’s advice” equals “mommy’s orders.” And of course, Michael sees those orders carried out in his life to a T!
In the same way, Carly just loves her little Wiley all to pieces! Any time that Wiley wants to grow, develop his own personality, his own sense of being, his own worldview, Carly will be right there to tell him who he is, what his views are, and what life means … for him.
General Hospital Spoilers – Carly gives it All for Wiley
“What’s your life’s path” someone may ask Wiley one day. Wiley’s reply, of course, will be … “Ask my grandmother. She knows.” That’s because from the moment Michael gains full custody of Wiley (if that happens) Carly will take charge. Just as she did with Michael, Wiley’s future will be carefully orchestrated. Wiley will only attend the best schools. Wiley will only be allowed the friends and company that Carly approves. Like his father before him, Wiley will have everything in life handed to him. Wiley won’t have to lift a finger!
In fact, many GH fans are willing to bet that, just like British Royalty, Wiley will be handed the keys to the kingdom without earning a thing on his own. No college degree, no business acumen, no experience, no entrepreneurial ambitions … but imagine Wiley as CEO of ELQ at the tender age of 21.
Impossible? Heck, Michael is CEO right now and he’s only what … 27? Pick your jaw off the floor, dear GH fan. It’s not becoming.
General Hospital Spoilers – Wiley Is Miserable
While it might sound like a fairy tale life to many (who wouldn’t want the luxurious life Wiley is promised by the Corinthos family?) Wiley might actually be incredibly miserable when brought up in Carly’s manipulative household. Though he might get every physical comfort life has to offer, he might also find himself having to put off his real, personal desires in order to meet “family expectations.” (Everyone knows that means meeting Carly’s expectations.)
The bottom line is that if Carly couldn’t keep herself from putting a leash around Michael’s neck, she won’t likely be able to refrain from putting one around Wiley’s either. Never mind though, it’s all for Michael and Wiley’s good in the end.
Of course, wouldn’t it be interesting to see Wiley tell Carly that he needs to take a step back from the family business (whether Corinthos Coffee or ELQ), ditch all family duties, marry someone Carly hates, and then move to London where he chooses to raise his own son free of Carly’s influence?
Wiley’s story doesn’t have to be written as described above. Plus writers need to allow Michael to stand up for himself and not go to mommy for every little obstacle in his life. Other than for his wealth, no woman would want a relationship with a man that is so dependent on mommy.
