To the Moon and back will have its festival premiere as an official selection at this year’s Film Invasion in Los Angeles. The director and writer, Nate Hapke noted, “very excited to share this raw & intimate story.”
General Hospital News – Film Festival
Film Invasion L.A. brings the best of independent film to the heart of Los Angeles. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company shares that they plan to hold the Film Festival rain or shine. They said, “Our theater is quite small, but we will decide exactly what to do based upon what is happening in early-June. We may be able to go about business as usual with audiences or we may have to hold screenings, record Q&As, and present awards with only the filmmakers in attendance. Whether our 2020 screenings include the public or not, there will be a FILA 2020.”
To the Moon and Back was written and directed by former General Hospital crew member, Nate Hapke. It stars Zamprogna in the role of Robert Westfield, Danielle Rayne in the role of Judith Westfield and Julie Romano in the role of Freddi Westfield.
In this short film, in the moments before a man has to eulogize his own mother, he finds solace in the presence of his wife and daughter.
GH News – Dominic Zamprogna’s Role
Zamprogna spent many years in the soap opera world. He was very beloved for his role as Dante Falconeri on General Hospital, a role he played from 2009 to 2019. He opted to leave the show and made a brief return for a short story arc.
His character is talked about almost every day on social media. It is no doubt that viewers would love to see him back on the show someday in the near future. Zamprogna stays busy with his wife and children while not working.
While we await his soap opera return someday, we encourage our readers to check out his short film if you haven’t already. We will also make it our duty to keep you all informed on Zamprogna’s latest projects as soon as more information becomes available regarding them. Check out To the Moon and Back!
I sure do miss Dante. Wishing Dominic the best in his endeavors.
