Dante Falconeri left the canvas for almost two years when Dominic left to spread his wings. His absence has been a sore spot with legions of fans, not just because he’s gone but in part due to the way in which he departed.

Prior to his exit, Dante had been an upstanding lawman, a loyal husband, and a terrific father. His absence was explained away by saying he was on a WSB mission that landed him in Turkey.

Last year a brief appearance back in town made it clear that Dante had PTSD and was not safe to be around others, and not mentally stable.

After some suspicious and erratic behavior, Dante left for treatment. As the time wore on, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) waited and waited, but Dante initiated divorce proceedings and Lulu finally accepted her marriage was over.

But that was then and this is now and Dominic has made it clear as crystal that a return to GH is on his wish list.

In an interview with Soaps In Depth, the handsome and talented actor verified that he is ready to come back to the sudser whenever the show says the word.

General Hospital spoilers – Fans will be ecstatic if Dante returns to town

In the May 4 issue of the magazine, Dominic said, “Frank (Valentini, Executive Producer) knows I’m ready to come home. And I’d be totally open to a contract. There’s so much potential with the character and the story right now. With everything they’ve done since Dante’s been gone, there are so many options and they’d all be fun to play.”

Last week Dominic hinted at his future intentions when he tweeted about a GH flashback episode in which he appeared and said he missed his GH family.

“I love that place, I love those people, and I love that job,” he said. Well GH, what are you waiting for?!
