General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Knows Willow Shot Him — And He Wants Her Off the Hook Anyway?!

General Hospital spoilers reveal Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has been so bent on becoming Willow Tait Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) hero that no one has been any the wiser about how much he might understand exactly what is going on here.

Few have entertained the possibility that Drew heard that same Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star ringtone playing as he laid on the floor bleeding out, just as Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) did from the bedroom.

Drew would know who it is right away, but waking from surgery after being shot with a chance at mending the rift he caused by sleeping with Willow’s mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), he might have taken the chance in front of him and zipped his lips. If Drew has known this whole time that Willow was guilty, why would he want to share his life with her? We shouldn’t be so quick to assume he does.

Alexis Got Swindled

While everyone is anxiously waiting for the verdict this week to determine Willow’s fate, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is now newly aware of just how guilty her client is, but she never would have imagined that Drew knew it all along.

He blackmailed her on purpose to force her to represent a guilty woman, knowing she would fight harder than anyone to get Willow out of trouble if it meant her access to Emily ‘Scout’ Cain (Cosette Abinante) was on the line.

It was the perfect plan for Drew, who knew Alexis would be incentivized to turn the other cheek even if she realized Willow wasn’t so innocent after all. What other attorney would’ve done that?

Nina Should’ve Known Better

Every snide remark and reminder Drew has uttered about how much he loves Willow and is going to be a hero in her eyes has made Nina’s skin crawl. But it’s not just idle jealousy lingering as leftovers from their time together, and it’s not just that she hates the man her daughter married.

Nina must know on some level that her daughter did this. Why else did she instinctively and instantly offer up that fake alibi when she knew she didn’t need it for herself?

Willow Thinks She’s Winning

Willow married Drew, seemingly to help her beat these charges and get her kids back. If she gets to have Michael thrown in jail at the same time, that’s just gravy. But right now, Willow is thinking she has a fighting chance because the prosecution doesn’t have that strong of a case.

Little does she know there could be much more grief waiting for her on the other side of a not guilty verdict. If Drew actually knows she shot him and he’s just been using her weaknesses to keep her close and eventually bring her to ruin, he’s done a bang-up job.

She too never saw it coming. Which one of them will win out in the end of this toxic romance? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
