General Hospital spoilers reveal Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) have been beating back the SEC with the help of Diane Miller (Carolyn Miller), but things are about to get more complicated as Diane parts ways with one of them. She can’t represent both Carly and Drew. It presents a conflict of interest in both of their cases, especially since the only way she sees them getting out of this is if they turn on each other — or if Carly rolls over on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and cuts a deal.
The plot will thicken when Drew looks to Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) for help and is told his Quartermaine bucks are of no use. Why can’t Marty pitch in and represent Drew? Diane will become determined to find out.
General Hospital Spoilers — Ethics Schmethics!
Diane understands the letter of the law, without question. She wouldn’t dream of asking Marty to divulge what his conflict of interest is. She knows he can’t reveal that, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to lose interest in figuring it out.
As far as Diane is concerned, she should be the only attorney in town with any conflict in this case. Marty is in and out of Port Charles so often, what could possibly be tying him to this case — unless he represents the person who turned Drew and Carly in — and he knows about it?
GH Spoilers – Tease the Finger Of Blame Goes Wagging
According to General Hospital spoilers, Diane quickly realizes that’s the only possible reason Marty has to stay detached from this case, it’ll pique her interest to know that whoever turned Drew and Carly decided to seek counsel on the matter.
She may not put two and two together and recognize that Marty was the one to make the call, but she might be able to determine that with discovery during the legal battle.
Nonetheless, it’s possible that Drew’s attention could shift from Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) momentarily, and only because he knows Marty has represented Valentin for a while now. But Valentin would have had no reason to attack Drew, and he was busy in Greenland — with Drew — when the report happened. What gives?
Was this just a way for Valentin to have Marty do his dirty work at a time that it seemed like Valentin would’ve been impossible to carry it out himself?
General Hospital Spoilers — Diane Miller Reports Back to Sonny Corinthos
When Diane goes to Sonny that she thinks Valentin could be the culprit behind all of this and not Ned, Sonny is definitely going to want an explanation. As Drew mulls over the possibility of it being Valentin, Ned will jump at the chance to skewer his alleged ally for letting him take the fall.
Meanwhile, Sonny will know as soon as Diane tells him of Marty’s conflict of interest that there may have been another party involved — Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), but he’s not going to clue Diane, Carly, or Drew in at this time. What does the don have planned for his fianceé, and will she tell him the truth if he confronts her? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to find out.
