He paid Vito Coronado to have Scully Tucci beat up Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) became collateral damage when he tried to intervene.

If Justine looked through the records from when Drew was in Pentonville, she might find some similarities between this beatdown and the incident when Drew became collateral damage while trying to save Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)!

Drew never had his prison records purged, but his sentence was for a white-collar crime.

He took the heat so Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), whom he was involved with at the time, wouldn’t have to.

He actually should have been in a facility for white-collar offenders, but instead, he was sent to Pentonville—possibly because of prison overcrowding at the time.

And as Justine’s latest deal with Drew threatens to bring Sonny down, she may be overlooking the very man she should be investigating!

Justine Shouldn’t Trust Drew, She Shouldn’t Trust Him At All!

Justine shouldn’t trust Drew. She shouldn’t trust him at all!

And she’s been warned.

Yet she made an immunity deal with him if he’d help her bring Sonny to justice.

That immunity deal may also protect Drew from questions about the alleged misuse of campaign funds for the Esplanade project at the piers, which never actually became a reality—another potential white-collar crime.

But Justine doesn’t know about Drew paying off Vito to leave town or breaking into Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) car and planting evidence to frame her for Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) disappearance.

As Drew’s plot to frame Nina began unraveling, his determination to keep his secrets buried became even more apparent.

And although Drew may not have intended for Brennan to die, he buried him after pulling him out of the Metro Court pool!

Justine has no idea how deeply Drew is involved in the very criminal activity she’s supposed to be investigating.

Justine Is Vulnerable And Drew Is Slick

Justine is vulnerable, and Drew is slick.

He might romance her to keep her from suspecting his role in various crimes against Sonny, as well as his involvement in Brennan’s death.

He may not have been directly responsible, but then, no one really knows if what he gave Ava Jerome (Maura West) to drug Brennan really was a sleeping pill!

Drew is pretty good at fake-romancing vulnerable ladies, and it makes a really good smokescreen.

After all, Drew and Justine’s new alliance against Sonny could give him the perfect opportunity to get closer to her.

Even worse, he could produce supposed proof of Sonny being behind the Pentonville attacks—faked proof!

Because Drew was the one who allegedly paid for and ordered the attack on Sidwell, knowing Sidwell would blame Sonny anyway!

If Justine falls for Drew’s charm, she could end up helping the very man who’s been manipulating her investigation.

Annemarie’s Take

I think Justine is making a huge mistake by trusting Drew!

She was so quick to believe Sonny was behind the Pentonville attacks, yet she’s willing to make a deal with someone who has plenty of secrets of his own.

And Drew certainly knows how to take advantage of a vulnerable woman.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to romance Justine just to keep her from uncovering the truth.

But I really hope Justine is smarter than that!

I’d love to see her figure out what Drew has been doing and turn the tables on him.
