Nina Warned Ava Not To Trust Drew

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) warned Ava not to trust Drew, but Ava said he would help her get back at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for his not wanting to fully honor their custody agreement.

Drew had told Ava he was having the same problem with the Quartermaines and Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) plus her maternal grandmother and aunt, he’d banned them from contact.

So, as Ava explained, sometimes necessity makes strange bedfellows, although there was nothing romantic between them.

Nina continued to warn her friend that Drew would turn around and stab her in the back, if she wasn’t careful, but Ava said she could handle herself. But then that was before Drew asked her to help him remove that one obstacle named Jack Brennan!

Drew Wanted Ava To Distract Brennan

Drew had wanted Ava to distract Brennan while he searched his Metro Court Suite, and had gotten a virus on a flash drive from Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) that would kill the security system.

Drew planned to do it from Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) computer, and since he had dated her prior to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returning the second time, he remembered her passwords and log-ins.

That way he could search Brennan’s Metro Court suite for the leverage he had over him, concerning the McConkey esplanade.

So, just to ensure that Brennan was properly “distracted” he gave Ava a pill to spike his drink with-claiming it was just a sleeping pill, that would likely just make him doze off.

The Perfect Patsy?

Drew wanted to get rid of Brennan in a very literal way, and he found Ava to be the perfect patsy-he couldn’t use Nina, their relationship would be too adversarial. 

As for Willow Tait, (Katelyn MacMullen) there was no way-although with Brennan no longer in the way, he can come clean about what really happened when he was “locked in”. And he can complete his plot against Sonny as well, even if Ava winds up collateral damage.

As for Ava and Brennan, she finds herself in a quandary once Brennan drinks his spiked drink-which turns out to be a fast-acting poison that simulates an overdose of sleeping pills and alcohol!

Drew never shows up, and Ava finds herself having to do something with Brennan really quick, since he’s dead as a doornail!
