General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that the earring found in Rory Cabrera’s (Michael Blake Kruse) pocket matches a pair of Ava Cassadine’s (Maura West). Will a lead from the jewelry store where both sets may have been purchased solve the case?
General Hospital Spoilers – Rory Cabrera Tore The Earring Out
The earring found in his pocket was a pierced hoop earring, and it looks like he tore it out of his assailant’s ear. All evidence from his autopsy indicates that Rory was another victim of the Port Charles Hook, with the rare snake venom found in his system.
But for some reason, the antidote that worked on Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) didn’t work on Rory-perhaps the venom was mixed with another substance that didn’t show up.
It sounded like Rory got a shot off but it’s unsure if the Port Charles Hook was hit, and there was another victim on the floor. Breaking glass could be heard like she jumped through the window unless it was a mirror, but she’s definitely got one sore ear!
GH Spoilers – DNA Or Wound
It’s for sure that the PCPD will chase every lead they can find, but whoever this is may have wounds from glass, a gunshot, or at the least, a torn ear. But there may be another lead – Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) noticed when Ava came to the GH chapel to confront her she had identical earrings to that found in Rory’s pocket.
Ava certainly wasn’t the one who attacked herself, which was before the Hook started using poison on the tip of the hook. If a DNA match is not found and neither hospital in Port Charles has treated suspected wounds, then a jewelry store record search may bring a lead. Searching records of exotic snake smugglers is what brought Rory and Dante to Rory’s killer’s door, looking for those who dealt in the snake with that venom.
General Hospital Spoilers – The Purchaser Must Have Money
It is learned that Ava spent quite a bit of money on her earrings, she’s not into department store bling. The earring in Rory’s pocket is the same gold metal but it is a bit more tarnished, indicating either it is older, or it hasn’t been cleaned and quite dirty. But if the earring is cleaned then any DNA or other material on it that could be traced would disappear-it could even be brunette hair dye has gotten on the earring.
Hair dye certainly could make a gold earring look tarnished, the chemicals in it while safe for humans, could damage metals and it would sink into any indentations or embossing. If the PCPD forensics team didn’t find the Hook’s DNA in the database, perhaps they could trace a bit of the dark substance-tracing jewelry store records could solve the case.
