GH spoilers note that Josslyn Jacks plays a pivotal role in the land of Port Charles. Still, McCoy may need a break from work, due to the recent tragedy of losing her mom to cancer in November.

In an X/Twitter post, Eden noted that she wanted to wish her fans “happy holidays”. She also stated that she’s going to take some time off the social media platform.

However, she relays in the tweet that she first needed to extend “thanks” for the support she’s received recently.

She adds that it’s been a “strange year”, but she still feels quite lucky. She ended things off by saying that she wishes everyone love and health.

While she nor the show confirmed the reason behind her temporary leave, she likely needed a break to help with the healing process around her mom’s passing.

GH Spoilers – Eden McCoy’s Return Date Is Unknown

As of this writing, it’s unknown as to when Eden will be returning to GH. As the show films about a month ahead of time, it makes sense as to why she will be absent during December shows since her mom passed away in November.

On a brighter note, McCoy accepted her first Daytime Emmy award win last Friday, December 15th, and acknowledged her mom during her speech, saying this is “for and because” of her mother.

Eden received two other Daytime Emmy nods before winning the big award this year.
McCoy has been with the show for eight years and began playing Joss Jacks at the age of 12.

On behalf of everyone here at GHT, we send our thoughts and well wishes to Eden McCoy, and are looking forward to her return to the ABC soap.
