General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth Fakes A Pregnancy To Explain Nikolas’ New Baby

General Hospital spoilers tease, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) has gone out on a limb a number of times for her friends over the years, and they don’t always repay her in kind. For example, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) hasn’t always been the best friend he could be.

Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and Emily Quartermaine (Natalia Livingston) might not be around to debate it, but if they were, both would likely agree Elizabeth was always a much better friend to have in their corner than Nikolas, who tends to think of himself first and others later. So don’t be surprised when Elizabeth agrees to help Nikolas in ways that will only turn her life upside down. She’s used to it.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nikolas Cassadine Needs Elizabeth Webber More Than Ever

Nikolas is having a baby with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), and now someone knows his secret. Elizabeth is nothing if not trustworthy, but Nikolas is really pushing the limits of their friendship asking her to aid and abet Esme — the young woman who traumatized her son Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton).

If it were anyone else, maybe Liz wouldn’t bat an eye, but the fact that Nikolas would even ask this of her proves how self-centered he is. The problem isn’t just that Nikolas wants Elizabeth to keep her mouth shut about seeing him with Esme. He also needs her to help him craft a story to explain where his child came from. This is where the plot thickens.

GH Spoilers – Indicate Liz Webber Is Lonely

Elizabeth is admittedly lonesome. Her relationship with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) hit the bricks months ago when she started suffering from memory loss and visions and voluntarily checked herself into Shadybrook. Since then, she’s come to realize her memory was of her pushing Reiko Finn (Mele Ihara) — Finn’s late wife — down the stairs after discovering her having an affair with her father. Having to share this reality with Finn appears to be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

With no sign that their relationship will bounce back, Liz just might welcome Nikolas’ suggestion that she pretends to be pregnant with his child. Nikolas intends to keep his child after the birth, but he wants nothing to do with Esme. However, he needs a way to explain where the baby came from that doesn’t include Esme, as he hopes no one ever finds out about their tryst or that he fathered a child with her. Will Liz risk any hope of keeping her relationship with Finn alive by pretending to have cheated and conceived a child with Nikolas months ago?

General Hospital Spoilers — What About Esme Price?

What comes next for Esme? Nikolas isn’t saying, but he clearly has a plan in mind. He didn’t mince words when he recently told Esme he would be done with her after the baby was born.

He’s only keeping her cooped up at Wyndemere so he can safeguard his child and she doesn’t have the opportunity to run off with him or her in tow. Esme is definitely going to worry about what Nikolas has in store for her, and she won’t be privy to Elizabeth running around Port Charles pretending she’s having a baby. My my, what will Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) have to say about this?
