Ethan Lovett’s Plan

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Ethan returned to town on the Friday, April 17 episode.

He left a voicemail to someone unknown, telling them he was in Port Charles and informing them he’d be at the pier every day around noon.

He added he had hopes he would see them soon. After Ethan had a quickie reunion with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), the first person he headed to see was Sonny.

Ethan is looking for a job, but is there more to this? One interesting factor in Sonny’s hiring process that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) pointed out while the two were catching up during the Monday, April 20 episode was that Sonny needs to know his employees are trustworthy.

As Sonny knows Ethan, and he’s Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) son, Ethan wouldn’t go through the same “loyalty” tests that others do.

This all seems to smell of trouble. In fact, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) will have concerns about Ethan infiltrating Sonny’s organization and voice them.

Ethan Lovett Has Been Compromised

Ethan has always been a “good guy” despite being a con artist. He’s also always been loyal to family and friends despite his checkered past.

With that said, is Ethan locked in a situation he can’t escape? Has he been cornered by the WSB or feds?

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came back in 2024, he was working for the feds as they had damaging evidence against Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). If Jason didn’t work with them, Carly would head to prison.

Recently, after the WSB arrested Jason and took him away, under suspicion of shooting Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) mentioned he wouldn’t be surprised if the agency enticed Jason to become a WSB agent, thanks to his skill set.

Were writers hinting at another storyline that was coming up? Do the feds or WSB have evidence against Ethan?

The offer could be to betray Sonny or head to prison. Then again, maybe this is about his mom. While Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) has turned against her old ways, it was only in the fall of 2024 that she jacked those diamonds from Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Could the WSB be dangling evidence against Holly so that Ethan would do their bidding?
