General Hospital spoilers suggest Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) admitted to being Baby Phoebe Wilson’s (Lucia and Luna Creighton) father during the Thursday, June 4 episode. With that said, is he telling the truth?

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that when Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) went to investigate Delilah Wilson’s (Lily Cardone) past in New York, they found themselves at an art gallery in New York City.

Upon some hard questions and dropping the Quartermaine name, the owner of the gallery, “Apollo” (Maxwell Caulfield) showed them a photo of Ethan with Delilah. This raised major flags with Alexis and Ava.

During the June 4 show, Alexis confronted Ethan on his past with Delilah, and this is when he admitted he was Phoebe’s father.

He told Alexis he wasn’t ready to be a father, which is why he supported the baby being adopted by Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).

He also insisted on a closed adoption to keep his identity hidden. Were Ethan and Delilah romantically linked, or just friends?

What’s With The Secrecy?

Ethan claimed he didn’t want ties to Phoebe as he didn’t want anyone to feel as if he was ‘hovering’ over his child every time he was at the Quartermaine mansion.

Still, it’s hard not to believe that there’s something bigger going on. Ethan was working with Apollo to ensure the art gallery owner remained hush-hush about Delilah’s past. In fact, while Alexis and Ava were at the gallery, asking questions, Apollo made a call to Ethan.

It was clear that during their conversation, Apollo had kept a lot of information from both Alexis, Ava, and the police during their investigation on Delilah – all as per Ethan’s request.

Ethan was desperate to keep Delilah safe, and he failed. As such, he’s even more desperate to keep little Phoebe safe, too. Perhaps Ethan is just admitting to being the baby’s father to speed up Delilah’s case being closed and to push the adoptions forward.

It’s hard not to think that Phoebe’s father and that family might not be powerful and dangerous – a combination that Ethan wants to protect Delilah’s baby from.
