General Hospital Spoilers: Evil Wins Again? Valentin Cassadine Evades These Crimes Like He Has Before?

Tuesday’s episode had Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) put under arrest for the current crimes of fraud, tampering with a corpse and a possible charge of attempted murder for Ava Jerome (Maura West) or Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Right before his arrest, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) gave him a pep talk that he will be able to figure it out and find his way out like he has every time before.

While she was doing this for the sake of his daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), not having to witness his arrest, the question lingers. Will Valentin Cassadine find himself a free man, as he has always been able to do? Let’s take a look back at the crimes Valentin has been able to get away with so far!

Valentin’s Sordid History

Before Valentin even graced the screens of General Hospital he was known as a man to be feared, even by Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) herself! As the unwanted Cassadine, he made sure to make a name for himself as a man to be feared. He worked alongside the likes of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) and Ava Jerome while in hiding during the 1990s, all happening off-screen. It was in 2006, that the name of Valentin Cassadine became known to viewers. Helena admitted to Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) about Valentin’s existence and she only did so to save herself. Helena was being slowly poisoned by Valentin and needed to escape for her life!

Valentin’s Criminal Intentions Shown

General Hospital fans were finally introduced to the man himself in 2016 but he was disguised as a fisherman on Cassadine Island. Once it was found out who he was, his crime spree on our screens began quickly! He forced Nikolas to sign over all of his inheritance to himself and shot him to his supposed death. He was already holding many Port Charles resident’s captives at the same time.

He shot Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) who was trying to protect Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). He made his way to Port Charles with the intention of kidnapping Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) but was stopped by Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernand). For these crimes, Valentin was extradited back to Greece but did not stay there for long! He was able to get out of all these crimes scot-free and made his way back to Port Charles to wreak more havoc!

Crimes Unveiled

During the past couple of years that Valentin has called Wyndemere his home, more of his crimes have come to light, yet he has always been able to stay a free man! Valentin had Claudette (Bree Williamson) impregnated with a stolen embryo of his and Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) without Lulu’s knowledge. Has had Claudette captured and imprisoned since 2016 and has let the world believe she committed suicide.

When Anna had given up her son with Cesar Faison decades before, Valentin forced the adoptive parents to give him the child and brought the child, now known as Peter August (Wes Ramsey), back to Faison. Valentin had Cassandra Pierce’s boat explode, while she was on it, which has made her presumed dead. He had a henchman kidnap Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) for a period of time in 2016.

One of the biggest crimes that were unveiled about Valentin’s past that came back to haunt him was the Chimera Virus. Valentin had stolen the Chimera Virus from the WSB when he left and decided on a life of crime. He had then sold the virus to Helena Cassadine and never thought about it again, until 2017. In 2017, the Chimera Virus was almost released during the Nurse’s Ball. This would have affected many people including himself and his beloved daughter Charlotte.

Valentin has lived a life of crime for years and since his entrance into Port Charles four years ago, he has not changed. He pushed Ava Jerome over a balcony with the expectation of her death just last week! Will, he finally pay for his crimes or will he get out of it like he always has before? Stay tuned to find out!
