General Hospital Spoilers: Ezra Turns On Sidwell To Protect His Daughter – Jacinda?!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that last week Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) stunned fans by showing a half-human side to himself when dealing with Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

Ezra is the sleaziest sleaze to ever sleaze. On that we can agree. But is there more to the man than meets the eye?

After trying to threaten Laura to do Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) bidding, he softened and appealed to her practical side. Basically, Ezra reminded Laura that Sidwell is bloodthirsty and it’s best to play his game to keep her loved ones safe.

Where is this humanity coming from? Here are three reasons that could be behind Ezra’s sudden shift–#3 is a doozy!

Ezra Was Compassionate With Laura

1) Maybe Ezra is just sick and tired of being a flunky for a master manipulator. Everyone has a tipping point, and perhaps Ezra has found his.

There’s no doubt that Jenz has become more vulgar in recent days—threatening Baby Ace (Karis and Kieran Barry) is pure slime.

And that brings us to another possible reason why Ezra seemed less craven with Laura—perhaps he is in the exact situation she is in with Jenz?

2) Is it possible that Sidwell has threatened someone whom Ezra loves? It could be a small child like Baby Ace, or it could be a grown child, an adult who Ezra would do anything for.

If Jenz is willing to harm a helpless child, we shudder to think what he would do to a capable adult. Heck, he kept Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) alive for the sole reason of trying to beat him in poker.

We don’t know much about Ezra, which makes this angle even more plausible—does Ezra have a child he would move heaven and earth to protect?

3) It makes sense that said child would live in PC, as does Ezra. Jacinda is about to be rumbled and it has to do with the lie she told about being with Ezra the night Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was shot.

What if Jacinda was really with her dad—Ezra? We’re not suggesting she was hooking, as she suggested, but perhaps they were together, just not in the way she portrayed?

Think about it: Jacinda and Ezra have a lot in common. That’s all we’re going to say about that.

After the way in which he talked to Laura about toeing the line, we suspect that he’s speaking from experience and putting up with Jenz in order to protect someone he loves–his daughter Jacinda.
