General Hospital Spoilers – Disagreements in Michael Corinthos and Ned Quartermaine’s Future
GH viewers know that Ned’s daughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), basically lit a torch to ELQ stock by potentially blowing up a merger with Marten MedTech. Brook Lynn’s irresponsible actions infuriated Ned because he believes the resulting blowback would crater ELQ’s pharmaceutical division. Of course, Michael stuck up for his cousin and told Ned that he felt it was actually better to lose the deal than to give Marten MedTech more concessions. After all, ELQ could always write off the loss. This line of argument even further angered Ned.
It didn’t help things when Michael placed the blame for Brook Lynn’s thoughtless behavior squarely back on Ned’s shoulders. As Michael told Ned, “It probably wasn’t the best idea to give her such sensitive information when she just started.” (Just started her job at ELQ.) Michael went on to give Ned a backhanded insult when he noted that, “All I’m saying is that when I’m training a new assistant, I try not to give them more than they can handle.”
This fiery exchange between Michael and Ned ended up with Ned making an effort at peace. However, it’s clear the seeds of discord are there.
GH Spoilers – Ned Quartermaine Continues to Plot
GH fans probably know by now that Michael may soon have his work cut out for him. That’s because while he sees his leave of absence from ELQ as a month-long vacation to be with Wiley, Ned has other ambitions. In fact, Ned believes that he alone is the right choice to helm ELQ at the moment. This is because he feels Michael’s policies have allowed the profitability of ELQ to slip. In Ned’s view, he’s actually doing Michael a favor.
Viewers may agree that when Michael finally discovers what Ned has been up to, he won’t have the same understanding of things that Ned does. It’s quite possible that a family war could erupt between Michael and Ned with the future of not only the family but of ELQ at stake.
GH viewers may sympathize with Michael right now. That’s because the young man has a new problem with Wiley’s health to deal with in addition to his custody battle with Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). In other words, Michael has a ton on his mind. He may not actually have the wherewithal to combat Ned at the moment.
General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Corinthos or Ned Quartermaine as Emperor?
It’s a question then as to which man will come out on top. For the future of the family, who will end up leading ELQ? Will it be the older, more experienced Ned Quartermaine or the younger, more sensitive Michael Corinthos?
If Michael is to have any chance at all, he must discover Ned’s aspirations for ELQ before it’s too late. He must devise a strategy, and he must do it fast. Finally, if Michael is to have any chance at all, he must be able to move against Ned without the older man realizing he’s on to him!
